I'm in Stage One... six workouts in, two full weeks, and already seeing a difference in how much I can lift. Loving it! There's a group on here, too: NROLFW

Do you do it at home?

No, because we live on a military base and I've got access to the gym for cheap... and a workout buddy who's making sure I get there. LOL But having read through the book, it seemed like at least most of it could be done at home.

I just ordered the book and am waiting for it to get here. I'm pretty excited, I already do free weights at home (nothing serious) but I am already seeing more muscle definition in my arms. I would love to see what an actual program could do for me. I feel sorta like a fish out of water doing this "weight lifting" thing. Not quite sure if I'm doing it right.

I just started Stage 1 this week and so far I like it. It is taking me a some adjustment with eating more calories (i'm trying to keep a deficit but a very small one). I have a gym membership so go there but definitely seems like something you could do at home with a set of dumb bells. Good luck!

I'm doing the Women's Health Belly Off 8 wk program. It uses light weights, but mostly body weight.

i've been doing it seriously for 2 weeks now, ended up joining a gym because it was too hard to do at home. I have lost over an inch on everything which is pretty amazing, i can feel myself getting stronger. Weight loss isn't happening but whatever, I'd rather look good than care about the number on the scale.

Can't wait to see the long term results.

I think there is a thread within the group for people who are doing the program at home.
  • thanx 4 this. didnt know there were groups on here. :blushing:
  • As a 41 year old "non-woman" the last book I read was The New Rules, For Women. IN fact it is still on my bedside nightstand. I have been in the gym lifting weights for years but wanted different information to help with recomendations for my wife or the gals in a youth program I oversee. There are many of the lifts noted in this book that were new and fresh that I could see fitting right into my own workouts. The book was a good read and without a doubt there is good weight lifting recomendations involved. No I have not done the workouts as listed in the book, but I would fully expect to see good results from those who do.
