I 'm looking for a people who are or used to be on South Beach Diet.
How does it work for you? How much weight did you lose and are you still stick to a plan?
How did you survived 1 phase without the carbs? Did you do any exercise while on phase 1?

South Beacher here. I followed SB about 6 years ago, lost 40 lbs in about 6 months and kept it off for 3 yrs. Then a few things got me off the plan (3 weddings for daughters, hip replacement where DH was bringing me take out for every meal and no exercise) and I went back to old habits and gained it back.

I firmly believe this is a very healthy way to lose. I was attracted to the plan because it was originally developed to help prevent diabetes and heart disease, both of which run in my family.

I got back on it in Jan. and plan to make this my lifestyle.

In phase one you can have some carbs--lots of veggies and beans are encouraged and they help with energy levels. What I love about phase one is that you do lose your cravings for sweets. Feel free to look at my diary and I will send a friend request.
