Isn't the point for us to be healthy? Not just skinny.

Unfortunately to some there is no difference.

honestly, if his profile pic is recent, he doesn't have as low body fat as he thinks. He's got a bit of a belly. He's not fat but he's certainly not ripped in that pic. I have as much muscle definition as he does and I'm nearing 50 years old and am not in any way a weight lifter/body builder type of person. Based on his pic, I'm in no way impressed.
Lots of guys think they are more "ripped" than they really are. In all my pics posted here, I'm at 18% bodyfat. That's 10% more than the OP, yet my definition is much more apparent.
Once I hit 7%, I'll post new pics to show what it's supposed to look like.

just to clarify...OP said he expects to be at 8% by May

But part of the reason your definition is more apparent is because you have so much more muscle mass, no? I had my BF tested last fall (calipers) and was at 13.5%. Even given some room for error, that suggests I'm "leaner" than you, doesn't it? But I don't have near the mass you do, so I have much less definition.

I guess I'm just clarifying that definition isn't always the best gauge of body fat.

I do still think the OP is crazy though.

    I hate threads like this.

I think it's an actual problem because someone might believe him. They shouldn't, if they bother to compare his pictures with the people who are disagreeing with him, but they might.

Reminds me of a thread where I posted:
This sort of post is the problem with MFP, and the internet in general.

A lot of people read a small portion of something, take it as gospel without challenging it, and then extrapolate the information out to make much grander assumptions.

Some of your comments display a total lack of understanding of some of the most basic aspects of weight loss and muscle gain. I sincerely hope no one tries to follow your advice out of some misguided trust, as it would only be a hindrance to them.

Lots of people on here are working hard to get fitter and it would be a real shame if someone were to quite after following your advice and seeing bad results.
