A new family

My wife and I would do anything for our children. They are our light and our life. This past year we both realized that we needed to make a change in our lifestyle. We needed to take time for ourselves to be better parents for them. This past november we started our journey with MFP and commited to being an example to our boys and new people for each other.

This is a picture of us from a summer outting a couple of years ago:


While our family was filled with love, we werent able to do all the things they wanted to do. I spent most nights exhausted after work and my poor boys spent WAY to much time in front of a TV. We were turning them into us....allowing them to have the same bad habits that got us where we were.
It has been an amazing journey, one that has brought my wife and I closer together and has filled our son's lives with days of play and joyful memories. I know that I will be here for them for years to come. And that is the most wonderful part of all. So I wanted to share some photos of our new family. Since november Bethany has lost 34lbs and I have lost 85. We both have a ways to go on our journey but even today we are a far greater husband and wife and much greater parents than we had hoped to be.

That is wonderful Andrew and Beth!!

I have always said I am the most proud of the mommies and daddies who do a 180 and change their childrens entire life!!

I have many regrets of raising my children with food as a reward, but they are all wonderful human beings now so.....

I am so proud of you guys for doing this and making a better life!!
