NSV...I ran!

I posted this on my profile, but I am sharing it here, too! For the first time, probably since mandatory gym class in school, I ran. On purpose. I went for my walk and did seven very small intervals of running mixed in. It probably wasn't pretty to look at, but I don't really care. I smiled real big every time I did it. :)

And also, I had kept saying "When I get to this weight...I will run." Well, I'm not at the weight I was holding out for and I am tired of making excuses. So, if I can run at 312 pounds, so can everyone else. Get out there and move, friends. :)

    Absolutely fantastic!
Keep up the great work. Who cares what you look like when you run. You are doing it for you - not that person passing you in a car.

Woot-Woot!! Good for you! :drinker: I hope to be running soon as well. However, pushing 53 year old knees is a bit different than 30 year old knees. I need to whittle down some more first......but I WILL get there and WILL be running again soon!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! What a moment! Watch... from now on, you're going to be addicted to running just a little bit more at a time... GO GIRL!

    :drinker:  :drinker:  :flowerforyou:
  • Congrats! Good for you!!!! I did the same thing myself starting a month ago. I'm sure I wasn't anything to look at, but I felt so free and liberated!!! Unfortunately though, I was just diagnosed with Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome, so that means even walking as exercise is out for now, but I will hopefully be back there soon!

awesome!!! I've thought about running.... but it's always a fleeting thought!! I'm not that interested in it because I have a bad knee and ankles that have been messed up my whole life... but maybe I'll give it a go sometime!! :)

That is a fantastic NSV! I've been doing some running in place at the gym with the trainer and I told him I'm ready to run like the big kids do.

    Keep it up!
