My husband is in the army, he's currently serving in Afghanistan. When he left I saw it as a challenge and an opportunity to be a new (slimmer) me when he gets back. So far so good, but it can be hard sometimes. We live in Germany at the moment x0

I'm not a military spouse or anything, but I just wanted to say thank you to all of you and your spouses. I can't believe the strength you all have, it tears me up just thinking about how you all must feel when they're away.
If you're strong enough to watch them go, you are so strong enough to get yourselves healthy. The best of luck to all of you, and again, thank you.0 -
Air Force wife for almost 12 years and a Veteran as well...0

Wife and member here It's awesome to see everyone on here! Mine husband is currently gone for 6 weeks and then comes home and I am leaving for 4. Such motivation to look good when you finally see each other I've been eating and working out so much better with him gone! Good thing my son will eat anything I cook
Feel free to add me!0 -
Army Wife right here, was actually looking for other spouses located near me so maybe we can meet up and hit the gym together. Located in California, message me for post location if interested0

Navy wife...together 20, active duty 15 and counting...the hubs is currently deployed. We're both into health and fitness, so I eat pretty much the same as when he's home, but I do love to really hit it hard while he's gone and use homecoming as a 'goal'. Feel free to add me if you'd like!
Cheers!0 -

My husband was in the Marine Corps. I've been through two L-O-N-G deployments to Iraq and he was regularly gone doing training when he was "home". It's been 6 years since he got out, but I am always willing to support others! Feel free to add me to your list. Stay strong....you'll be back together soon, it may seem like forever but once he's home it will be like no time has passed. God Bless you and your hubby!0

I am a former military spouse--does that count? We were married for 7 years, during which he deployed to Iraq twice (total of 27 months) and was gone numerous other times for training and TDY. Feel free to friend me if you'd like, I understand your pain.0

Hey, me too! Started talking to a recruiter last week. Edit: That was supposed to quote baxgilter. Whoops.
My husband recently got out of the Army, but he went almost straight into DoD contract work. Right now he's gone for a month. As much as I miss him, I am much better about keeping up with diet and exercise when he's gone!0 -
Army wife here. We are on a rotational training schedule so for 2 weeks I eat great and when he is home not so well, but at least he runs with me on the days he is home.0
