    Hi,

So nutritionist here. It actually does matter when you eat carbs in the day. When you eat carbs your body releases insulin to help cells take up the glucose you just ingested. During the day this is fine, because your cells take up glucose and use it for energy thus avoiding packing it as fat. At night however, you're sedentary and the carbs you eat get stored as fats in your body. Insulin release also hinders the release of other hormones, such as growth factor, which help your body metabolize. You actually burn most of your calories at night while sleeping (other than during a workout) due to the release of these hormones. Insulin release inhibits these hormones and you end up storing extra glucose as fat. I'd say stop eating carbs 2-3 hours before bed.

Strong revival of a 6 month old thread to post some strong bro science.

Oh wait......you're a nutritionist, so you must be right.

And it's their first forum post. This reeks of troll feces!
