I have Banana PB (Simple ingredients: Peanuts, Sugar, Bananas) and Chocolate PB (Peanuts, Sugar and Cocoa powder)...sooooo good. I'll never give them up

I don't think I can bring myself to try the powdered peanut butter, but I eat low sodium Better N' Peanut Butter ALL the time. I like it better than normal peanut butter...it's so delicious. I had been getting it at Target for something like 7 dollars...but then yesterday I discovered they have it at Trader Joe's for way less than that. Score.
I haven't tried PB2, yet..... I'm eating BetterNButter Low Sodium for now. I stocked up when it was on sale. :bigsmile: 100 cal per serving of 2 Tablespoons;. 2gSugars and 2g fat. I get mine at Whole Foods.
It's all in the choices. :happy: We choose what works for us and we succeed.

I'm not trying to starve myself or anything. I'd pass out during my work outs if I didn't get my calories.

FRANKEN-FOODS might help with weight loss but they won't help with health (they'll only take you so far with weight loss, too). It isn't the fat you eat that makes you fat.
You get fat because your body can't get to your fat tissue to use it (an inability to burn fat - i.e. use it for fuel - not that you're eating too much fat). Want to know what promotes fat storage and stops the body from accessing it? High levels of insulin constantly in your bloodstream. Want to know what causes high levels of insulin in your bloodstream? Eating high-carb every few hours all day, every day. Your body is constantly having to manage the amount of glucose in your blood and what isn't used immediately gets converted to fat and sent to your adipose tissue (and it is converted to saturated fat - yes, evil saturated fat). You get fat becauase of the cheap, nutrient deficient processed foods that make up over 90% of the grocery store.
Never quite understood the do enough cardio to 'burn off the carbs' so your body can dig into its fat stores. Why not just drop the carbs and let your body have immediate access to your fat stores? -Then you don't have to do all that chronic cardio (google those two words) My muscles no longer even want glucose. If I eat too many carbs at one time the sugar just lingers in my blood (or my body produces too much insulin and I end up with a serious blood sugar crash - too much insulin is not a good thing for the body. It's an important hormone and needed but too much...no.) I eat more fat - mostly saturated fat - than any other macronutrient. I am maintaining a weight of about 110-113lbs (depending on my carb intake) without even trying. Very little exercise needed too.
I haven't weighed this much since before puberty and I've never seen below 120 in my adulthood.0 -

You guys with your Peanut Butter alternatives are AWESOME!! Peanut Butter is without a doubt one of my vices. Sometimes I get that CRAVING when I MUST have a spoonful of Peanut Butter.0

Bought it once, wouldnt buy it again. 4x the price of regular peanut butter and I NEED the fat, I struggle to get 15g a day and should be getting 30ish.0

I have just discovered PB2, a powdered peanut butter. You mix 2 tbsp PB2 with 1 tbsp water. 45 calories, 1.5 grams of fat, 6 carbs, 5 protein (ONLY 1 WEIGHT WATCHER POINT). There is also a chocolate flavor that is even better! It is all natural - the only ingredients are dry roasted peanuts, sugar and salt. I love peanut butter but tend to eat way too much, so this is also portion control. I found it at Natural Foods Market but also saw it online at Vitacost.
If you love peanut butter, this is definitely the way to go to avoid the fat and calories! It doesn't sound great, but trust me - give it a try!
It sounds like you should just put dry roasted peanuts, a little sugar, salt, into your food processor, grind them up, then add a few dribbles of water to turn it into a paste. Then you'll know that you are eating real food, not a processed powder.

I know it doesn't, I was just going off the ingredients list of the product.
Grinding nuts in a good quality pestle and mortar isn't really time consuming at all. You just bash them a bit to break them into bits then grind away for a minute or two. Way better at powdering than a food processor, plus you get to burn a few extra cals. Win win.0 -
I use Adam's All Natural. Ingredients: ground peanuts! That's it! Yes...it has a bit more calories in it...BUT the Monounsaturated & Polyunsaturated fats are through the roof! Those are GOOD fats, your body NEEDS!!! I get it at Walmart. I like the creamy. There's oil in the top (from the peanuts) but I drain it off when I open it. I just lightly dip my knife in, and that gives me about 1/2 a tablespoonful. I get my peanut butter fix...and I only get 53 calories, instead of 210 for the full 2 tablespoons!0
