I don't love it, but the other gym in town is $200/month. I do like that there are 5 or 6 Golds near me that I can choose from.

    $19.95 per month
month - to - month contract
    XSport Fitness

For this price I can take a guest every time I work out and it can be the same guest each time. Makes it nice for my wife and I to work out together for the price of 1 membership.

I was smart enough to realize I was wasting our money since I never went and had a better chance of working out at home, so I cancelled my membership. My husband, however, won't let it go (even though he never goes, he *swears* he'll get back to it soon. I call bullsh*t).

    Me:
    $0
    Lifetime
    Family room

    Husband:
    $45/month (includes childcare)

    Employee gym at work

It's not huge, but does the job and has 24 hr access.
  • I don't use a gym but it works out at £28 a month for my kickboxing club, £40 for the climbing centre and £26 for the yoga centre.

....Ok that's a lot. I used to pay £42 a month for the gym but it's so boring :(

    Gold's Gym

I LOVE it. Especially the Cardio Cinema where they play a different movie on a theatre-sized screen all-day, every day in a room full of equipment. Plus the classes. And the awesome trainers. I get bored easily so having so much stuff to choose from reallllly helps me stick with it. Plus I like getting out of the house and being around other people.

But some days I stay home and pop in a workout DVD, and that's good too ;P

£26 a month, which I think is about $41? It includes all the facilities, so it's damn good value.

Initially you had to be signed up for a minimum 3 months, but after that you can stay as long as you like. I will be changing to a student peak membership when I start my postgrad course (currently on off-peak, as I only work part time) for the same price, but I can go whenever I want!

My local gym is Ponds Forge, but my membership is with Fitness Unlimited, which means any gym that uses Fitness Unlimited, I can go in and use.

    My main gym:
$0 (although I'm debating about putting some money towards heavier weights)
    Lifetime
    Basement

    I also still pay:
    $12 a month
Until I get around to cancelling it
University gym. (It has really nice facilities and classes, and it costs so little, I can't make myself cancel it "just in case.")

Wow - I'm paying way more than everyone else!

$128 a month for me and my husband

Delnor Wellness Center (hospital based fitness center in the suburbs of Chicago)

I also pay $30 a week for small group training (one trainer working with a group of 7 people).

On the days that I don't go to the gym, I run outside - at least I don't have to pay for that.
