Hi Everyone! Glad we made another month.

For anyone new who wants to join you can go to onehundredpushups.com to see how to get started. It really is a nice addition to a workout. And nice for anyone who wants to start doing push ups.

Today I did week 6, day 3, level 1
sets 1&2 13
3&4 17
5&6 16
7&8 14
9 at least 50 and that is where I stopped. It really was a struggle to get to that.
I am going to test tomorrow to see if I'm moving on to level 2 or staying here another week.

Between this and my strength training my arms are feeling good!

Here's to hoping we all have a good April:drinker:

I'd love to join you. I did this last fall but on my knees so I'd like to re-do it on my toes.
I'll keep an eye out for your posts! I'll start tomorrow.

I was looking at the website and noticed the 200 situps and 200 squats also. Does anyone know if it's safe to do 2 programs at the same time on alternating days??

Hi keiko - thanks for getting us started! And welcome to all the new folks.
Small correction - the website with the program is HUNDREDPUSHUPS.COM, not onehundredpushups.com.

Today, I did week 1, day 3, level 3 - plank-style (on toes) to the floor:
    11
    15 (last week I only managed 14)
    9
    9
min 13 (I managed 12 before I fell - one better than last week)

So, because of that last set, I still didn't quite make it through the week. I really want to get through this without compromising my form, so I think I will probably be repeating week 1 one more time on level 3. I'm still kind of amazed that it's so hard!

Good luck on your test, Keiko - and congrats for making it through week 6!!! Even if you can't remember what month it is... :flowerforyou:

Okay, today was an odd day for push ups to begin.
I workout on occasion with a class at the Y, well, today our trainer decided we needed to do 100 push-ups (probably because I mentioned doing this challenge again)
So in the space of 30 minutes, I did 11 sets of 10 (warm up set didn't count) in a variety of formats...on toes, using the Bosu, declines, staggered hands (one up and one off step) over and backs, standard....
I doubt I will be able to brush my teeth tomorrow!

I tested today and did 15, plank all the way down. Better than I expected considering how I am feeling!
I will try to do week 1 level 3 tomorrow if I remember.
Anyone doing the 200 squats challenge? I thought about starting that up next week. Anyone start a thread for it?

Just saving the thread for later.
I just got my internet back today after moving and I should be back to my normal routine sometime this week. No need to worry about exercise right now, I am sure I've been burning more than enough calories from moving/unpacking and working like a madwoman in the garden. I'll see you guys tomorrow! Back to week 5 of the challenge...I wonder how much progress I have lost on my time off...oh well!

Well, I think I'm going to take a break from pushups for a while. I am doing the 200 situp challenge also, so I'm just going to do that for now.

    Good luck, everyone!!!!!!!

Did the endurance test for the end of week 2 today, and I was able to do 25. Is there a set number you are supposed to do before moving on to week 3? I will start week 3 on Wednesday...have a pretty big feeling it will take me a few weeks to complete it! Kathy
