I cant stand sheets all tucked in tight. First thing I do at a hotel is rip the sheets out of the mattress. So no.... I dont make mine either unless Im having company.

i only ever make my bed, when i'm tidying up the whole room or having people over... other wise nope... also a scientific survey said that unmade beds make it harder for dustmites and such to breed, so technically it better for you.

I make the bed only if I'm on a cleaning rampage = the week before my period

. I think my body's like "Omg, need to get pregnant, TIMES RUNNING OUT, need to get a man, need to be a homemaker!"

My kids have your same fate LOL They program us that way I suppose..but I wont go in their room with a ruler making sure its a 45 degree angle or anything :P
As I kid my mom forced me to make my bed. Fancy tucked army corners and the bedspread where you needed to fold over the pillows Oh man it took forever. We couldn't go anywhere unless our beds were made.

By around middle school, we convinced out mom comforters were "cool" and she let us replace the bedspread with the comforter. The best part is that this cut down on bed making time. Now I only had to pull up the sheets, the comforter and put the pillows on top. Now I make my bed when I get up, to make sure I stay up. I don't always replace the decorative pillows. The sometimes stay on the side chair for weeks at a time, But when my apartment is extra clean, those pillows make their way back on to the bed daily.

    Still do the army corners.

** I also like to keep the sheets free of any random stuff tham may accumulate during the day. People with snacks...whatever.

I don't ever make my bed. Or iron my clothes. Both are completely worthless time suck efforts in my world!

In winter I make the bed so as to retain the body heat from during the night. I don't really know if it works, but it's an incentive.

In the summer I do not. I do not want to retain body heat in the summer.
  • I almost never make my bed...maby once a week when I change my sheets

I don't make my bed. I hate making my bed. I pick up around my place daily. Everything somewhat has it's place. I clean for real once a week. But I never make my bed.

I always make my bed. On the occasion I cannot (if DH is home and is still in it when I leave) I make it before getting into it at night. I'm weird that way, but then, I also iron my bedsheets.
It just feels good to me to get into a bed that's made.

I make it about every other day. But only so my comforters, blanket, and sheet are lined up perfectly to achieve maximum warmth.

LMAO I am the same way lol this is my OCD thing lol My blankets have to all line up at the top and be even on the sides or I seriously can't sleep

After reading all the comments I feel so normal! I thought I was the only one who didn't make the bed except when the sheets are changed or company coming! I'm going to have to ask people at work and find out how many lie ;)

The only reason I kinda straighten it up is so that if my cat decides to barf on the bed, I only have to change the comforter instead of all the sheets.

    I know a cat like that! Thankfully, it's not my cat.
