I JUST DON'T GET IT


1. Radiohead. I just don't get it. They don't get airplay and yet people treat them like the best band ever. Granted, I understand bands that are well liked but aren't mainstream (Grateful Dead, for example) but to me, if you're going be considered one of the all-time greats, you need to have mainstream backing. Miley Cyrus, don't feel bad about them snubbing you. You should snub them. At least 90% of the world has heard of you.

2. Ghostbusters. I just don't get it. The movie was not that funny.

3. Bruce Springsteen. I just don't get it. (See #1 above)

4. Jay Leno. I just don't get it. Yes, his stand-up rountine is good but his interview skills have never improved and his political views have come to the forefront over the last several years. Bring on Conan!

5. John Mayer . I just don't get it. Ok, he's won a few Grammys, he's mainstream and he's known as a great guitarist but he's got a diva attitude and he's dating hot woman and he's not that good looking. John, be accomplished for 5 more years and then you're entitled to be a diva. Until then, dial it back a bit.

Didn't even get the whole Born in the USA thing when I was a teen
Not a fan of Jay Leno or night TV in general, but I'm usually getting Zzzz's/beauty rest
John mayer is one pompous PRICK (I'm gonna guess I can't use that word..it worked,,,,di I mis=spell that...LOL)

I agree with # 4 and 5.

I think Ghostbusters is OK, nothing "superb" by any means.

Bruce Springsteen. Meh! I like SOME songs but I thought Tom Petty put on a better "Superbowl Half-time" show than Bruce did! MUCH better!

And Radiohead. I like a few of their songs.

No, I never got the Springsteen thing either-- the dude can't sing. :sick:

Some guy asked me on a date to see Springsteen in the Born in the USA era. Didn't like the guy. Didn't like Springsteen, but I said yes so I could see what all the hullabaloo was about at a Springsteen concert. I was bored silly. :yawn:

Ghostbusters had a great song. Better than the movie. Movie was totally lame.

Leno can't tell a joke to save his life-- he tells the punchline at least twice every joke. Uh, Jay, we got it the first time-- wasn't that funny. :noway:

I don't get Fergie. The lady looks like a transvestite-- not that there's anything wrong with that.

3. I don't get why my kids intentionally take turns getting up at the crack of dawn (before 5:30am)

I can clear it up, before there was automatic transmissions everything was Stick shift, men spend so much time holding and adjusting their own "Stick" they feel they naturally have to be experts. Look at their cars, they call muscle cars, open displays of who has the biggest "Stick"

Well, true-- I think they're idiot drivers in a more "up yours, arrogant, aggressive, road rage-y" way-- women are idiot drivers in a, "put my mascara on, talk to my boyfriend, where's my turn, what lane am I in, how do you get from here to there," kinda way. Both are obnoxious.

And simple answer to your second question-- because I have to get mine all the time. There.

Validation of my view is important to me, thanks :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: Men are not the best, just feel they are if you ask me. More accidents on the road are involving men according to the national insurance statistics, and their insurance rates are higher than women because of it. I rest my well researched case!

You are right Tam, it is strong and slightly bitter, but 20 grams of pure fat free protein , add berries and a bit of honey, no hunger for hours. Yummmm! it can replace sour cream too!
