I posted the calories burned per the game, but it was probably closer to 1500 calories per my HRM. But there's no way I can eat all those calories back, so I just put the lower calorie count in. If you're throwing yourself into it you burn tons, but I don't feel like I'm getting much in muscle definition, so I've added another workout that I'm easing into (my muscles are so sore, so I only do it twice a week).
I'm sorry, but unless you are running up and down a mountain for 4 hours or you weigh 3000 pounds, I don't think there is any way possible you could burn 1500 calories doing Zumba. The average calories burned I believe is somewhere around 300 or 400.
It was two hours of high intensity zumba, and it's what my HRM said I burned. Believe it or not. I'm sorry you don't have that amount of time to work out, it is hard when you have to work and you're right some exercise is better then no exercise. I'm a stay at home mom and during my daughters nap time, is my workout time.0 -
I don't think I'll be able to weigh in today - but I will try. I known I was down about a half pound from what my weight is on here 2 days ago - but I had underestimated my start weight and have lost more like 4 pounds. I am hoping to feel better next week. I actually did an hour of Zumba last night and then went on a bike ride right after. Tomorrow I'll be doing a lot of walking. I am doing good logging my food - I just need to eat better still - and give up my Coke. I still manage to stay under with my Coke - but I need to give it up anyway. I gave up cheese and am working on pasta now - and Coke will be next. I'm trying to severely limit bread as well.
My HRM broke - so I need to get a new one. I know when I did P90X I would be 800-900 calories doing that and I sweat almost more with Zumba so I could easily see burning over 1000 with more than an hour.0 -

It happens. Don't let it get you down, just do what you're planning on doing. Get back on track and make the best of it. I know it's hard sometimes, I quit and came back because of the same problem.0 -
