Anyone want to start C25K with me?

I am planning on starting the Couch to 5k program within the next couple of days. I was wondering if there was anyone out there that was thinking about starting it too and has been reluctant for whatever reason. We all could start at the same time and push eachother through the program. If this sounds like an idea, add me to friends and we can all pick a day to start.
By the way, I am using an app for my itouch called "Get Running" for C25K. This one costs a dollar I think, but there is a free app as well. I am either starting tomorrow or on Sunday. Looking forward to adding some friends and starting this all together. We could even start a seperate group page to track eachother's progress and add encouragement. The bigger the group, the better.

I just started this week. I may need to take next week off, because of shin splints, but we'll see. Feel free to add me!
Have you registered for a specific 5K yet?0 -
No I have not, but I am planning on signing up for one for September. It's called the Rock N Roll Marathon and they have a huge party afterwards. Sounds like it would be a fun one for a first timer like myself.0

I'm doing something similar. It's called the Color Run. At each K they pelt you with colored powder; big party at the end!0

I have the flu right now so I was planning on starting it in about a week. Good luck!0

I'm doing the color run too! What city are you doing it in? I'm in Kansas City, it's not until July 1.0 -
I started it four weeks ago and I highly recommend it! I am NOT a runner/jogger and this has been perfect for me to get my strength and stamina up. Good Luck!0

I just started week three of this program and it has been really great. I use the same App and i enjoy listening to my own music and hearing the cues on the app. Best of luck to you!0

Thanks all for the encouraging words. I am planning on starting it tomorrow. I got to day one of week 4 a month ago or so, but hurt my knee due to not properly stretching before running. I learned from that.0

I just started it this morning, actually. I gotta say that I suck at running... but not for long!
I really have to work on being able to do the fast intervals for the entire time. My lungs and legs give out a few seconds before the time is up each time.0 -
I've never heard of this; of course, I'm fairly new to this site. :-) Could someone give me some more info? Thanks!0

Awesome guys! I think we might have enough people now to make a seperate group where we can post our updates. I am not sure how to make a group just yet, but will look into it.
I think as long as we all start within a week or two weeks of eachother, we should be on the same level and be able to push eachother.0 -

Thanks for sending me this link! I'm in! I'm starting Monday. I think when you go under groups at the tabs along the top of your page, there is an option to start a group.
Edited: sev typos, tried to type left handed0 -
Couch to 5k is a great program. I am on Week 7 & you can add me if you need any support0

I recently began the C25K training as well.... I'm on week 3 right now. There actually IS a group for this already, but it seems kind of quiet.... maybe everyone would like to join that one?
No pressure, but if so, here's the link: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/47-couch-to-5k-running-program-c25k-
I think I'll have to repeat a week (or maybe more than one week) so I'm barely ahead of those who are starting right now. I'm excited to see some breand new runners who are in the same place as me!0 -
My mother and I are starting tomorrow!!0

Did anyone end up starting? I started this morning and loved it! I used the C25K app on my iPod. It was great! It cues you throughout the whole run and you can still listen to your music.0

Oh and according to my body media fit, I burned 200 calories!0

I just did W1D1 yesterday. Feel free to add me. I'm training for a Mudathalon 5K in June. Oy vey.0

I use RunKeeper and just programmed the intervals in manually. It plays my music and gives voice prompts over it too. It gives distance, current pace, time, elevation climb, calories burned, gps mapping, etc. I looooove it.
Also, I'm about to do day three today. Well, sort of. I'm super freaking out of shape apparently so I changed the intervals and made my own week 1.
40 seconds fast, 80 seconds steady, repeat until done. I'm hoping to get to the solid 1 minute faster intervals by next week or the week after.0 -
Started today was hard work getting 310lb moving How do you log the exercise ?0
