they both have aspartame, therefore don't drink either! you're just poisoning yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!
drink a healthy glass of green tea instead!
Aspartame is safe! Unless you think the jury's still out on science...http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/factsheet/Risk/artificial-sweeteners
None of the conspiracy/scare tactics/superstition information is supported by legitimate science, i.e.double blind studies.

Kick the soda habit! Once you've dropped it for two weeks, you won't even miss it. And it tastes so bad when you do drink it again.
  • The only problem with artificial sweeteners are that they are much and by much I mean a lot sweeter than sugar itself so it makes you crave more. So if you have a sweet tooth I would not recommend drinking or eating anything sugar free that has artificial sweeteners in it! But if you can drink it and not crave other things that are unhealthy for you or your diet then it does not matter much.

I hate diet, but I am not a big fan of coke zero. The best I have managed is that about 50% of the time I would go for a real cherry coke and the rest I'll trade it for a cherry zero.

Sprite Zero is very very close to sprite but I like cola more. The only real issue with diet cola generally is that it is better to drink water and the acids are bad for your teeth.

Yah, I've read this before and can only assume there is truth in it. I find drinking diet soda very satisfying and don't feel the need to get real sugar. So like you say, if it works for you, it doesn't matter. :)
  • I prefer Diet Coke (drinking it right now) but I drink WAY too much of it so have probably just got used it! I find normal Coke makes me jittery (probably all the sugar) and I don't think Coke Zero tastes anything like normal Coke, myself.

Regular coke. If I am going to put junk in my body it might as well be worth it...lol

I also try to replace my soda with lightly/unsweetened iced coffee. Starbucks via is not too bad. You really only need to pour in half of the packet for 12+oz even though it says 2 8oz servings. It's 50 calories a serving, but I tend to add a little lowfat milk.

Aspartame should not be on the market. I suggest steering clear of it in any food. Just a challenge--stop drinking any diet drinks for 4-6 weeks and see how you feel. Guarantee you will feel so much better. If you must, go with stevia first then Splenda second.

Actually, there are a number of studies which show that is not the case. There is no increase in appetite due to the use of artificial sweeteners.

Coke zero or Cherry Coke Zero! I dont cave to scare tactics, have no allergic reactions to aspertame, still get in more than the recommended amounts of water and savor every sip of my calorie free Cokes!

Well, I LOVE diet cherry coke! Yum! It is my favorite. I only have a maximum of one caffeine drink per day, either a diet coke or a cup of coffee. Occasionally, I will have another diet caffeine-free soda later in the day. I don't think they make me crave sweets. I actually think they satisfy a sweet craving.

But I DO NOT drink calories anymore. I'd much rather eat them.

    And aspartame doesn't scare me.

    Best drink ever: water.

If I have to chose between Coke Zero or Diet Coke (Coca Light as called in Mexico) I prefer Coke Zero, tastes less artificial :D

Diet Dr Pepper! YUMMY!! I'm working on cutting back though but I'm pretty sure everything will kill us according to some study.

I love Coke Zero but rarely drink diet sodas anymore because for me they cause problems with my blood sugar control.
