Make your own..easy and very low cal...here ya go: I made this without the freeze dried chives and it was still very good!
2 T Mrs. Dash Original
1 C Light Sour Cream
1/2 C Non Fat Plain Yogurt
1/4 C Light Mayo (I use Miracle Whip Light Salad Dressing)
2 t Sugar
3 t Wine Vinegar
3 T Freeze-Dried Chives
Mix everything in a bowl. It makes 1 3/4 C. I put in that it makes 28 servings of 1 T each. Per tablespoon: Calories 18, Fiber 0, Fat 1, Protein 1, Calcium 2, Sodium 290 -
I use Kefir Yogurt Cheese in place of Sour Cream quite a bit. Use it to make Dill Dressing, on baked potatoes, in smoothies and horseradish sauce. If I have Sour Cream I might use just a bit of it to cut calories.0

Hate to be a real Debbie Downer but HVR contains MSG (monosodim glutamate) which triggers your taste buds causing them to salivate thereby sending a signal to your brain. Your brain's response is that your mouth is watering so it must be good and you eat more.
There is a book "In Good Taste, the MSG Syndrome" by Dr. Robert Swartz that is quite alarming about the effects of MSG on our bodies.0 -
I know a ranch dressing that only has 15 CALORIES per 2 TABLESPOONS!
12 oz (1 package) silken-firm or lite silken-firm tofu (such as Mori-Nu)
3/4 tsp each garlic powder and onion powder
1 tsp dry dill
1/3 cup water, or more or less depending on desired thickness (I use 100g)
scant 2T apple-cider vinegar
1 and 1/2 vegetable broth cubes (I use Rapunzel brand. You can use more or less, depending on desired saltiness.)
2 T low-fat Veganaise (or regular) (If you leave this out, you’ll still have a nice dressing, but it won’t be nearly as yummy!)
Combine all ingredients, and blend until creamy. (I use a Magic Bullet.)0 -

For dressing, I use the Hidden Valley Ranch packet, 1 cup skim milk, and 1 cup plain (or even vanilla) greek yogurt. I keep it in one of those plastic squeeze bottles like they have at Subway. With the squeeze bottle you can evenly distribute it across your salad/veggie wrap and easily control the amount used.
Great idea on the squeeze bottle! Thanks0 -
Bump... for all us ranch-o-holics out there!0

another idea for you with a ranch packet...My family loves ranch flavor so I add 1/2 pack to 1lb ground turkey and it adds all the flavor of ranch without the added calories! tastes great in a wrap!! yummmy!
Love this idea!0 -
Bolthouse Farms actually makes a really good yogurt-based ranch dressing that is only 45 calories a serving. It keeps the great ranch flavor without all the added fat/calories and I recommend it to anyone looking for a substitute. You can usually find it by the veggies (not in the dressings aisle).
this isn't my blog but you can find a picture/consumer description of it here:

I mix Hidden Valley Ranch dressing powder mix into low fat cottage cheese and use it for a dip with cucumber/bell pepper slices when I am craving a dip, and also use the cottage cheese mixture as a salad dressing.0
