Need Running Advice!!!

Hey everyone, so I've decided that I want to work towards running 10km. I'm trying to find a running program that can get me there any ideas?
My problem is that I am a beginner to "running" but I am very active and play sports twice a week that involve lots of running (ultimate frisbee and soccer) so I don't really know where to start. I do struggle with 5km runs right now however I don't think I want to start at running for 2 minutes and then walking for 2 minutes.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! I've tried the running thing in the past and I tend to start out too hard and then I don't end up following through with it, so I'm hoping if I can make an actual plan that might be better for me.
Thanks!!!

Maybe try the Bridge to 10K program

It's meant for graduates of the Couch to 5K, but you might want to look into it. If it's too difficult, do the C25K program, but maybe start half way through it since you can already run some.0 -
Hi! I know a lot of people will recommend programs, and they are probably great. I just sort of did it on my own, though. I was a very casual runner for about 10 years: I ran, on average, about 2 miles, 2-3 days a week. Then I decided to up my distances. So one day I tried for 3 miles. It was totally fine--in fact, I found that 2 miles in is when running gets easier. I did three miles for a few weeks, then went to 4. Now I'm up to 5.5 and planning on a 10k in May.
Slow and steady, and don't give up. That will get you there.0
