Starting HCG1234... anyone else?

Hi,

I'm starting on the HCG 1234 program today, and looking for anyone else who is on it - or going on it - or has done it, for advice and support. Love to hear experiences/feedback from others who have done this already!

I'm a 38 year old single mother; also in need of buddies if anyone's got room to add me!

Thank you thank you. x

    Dear Posters,

MyFitnessPal strongly recommends that our users follow the calorie guidelines automatically assigned by our site, unless they are under the direct supervision of a doctor. We are currently reviewing the medical literature on the HCG/500 calorie diet and reserve the right to moderate against discussions of this diet at any time in the future.

For the time being, HCG discussions remain an option for members in private Groups. Please remember that even in Groups, all site wide rules must be correctly moderated, or the Group runs the risk of deletion. Specifically, endorsement of purchasing prescription supplements or medications without a prescription is in violation of the MyFitnessPal posting guidelines, which can be reviewed here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/welcome/guidelines

Thank you all for your concern. We're definitely looking closely at this issue.

    Oh. Why is that?!

It's considered quite controversial b/c of the very low calorie requirements, and MFP generally is not very supportive of diets requiring calories to be cut so drastically low. There are people on here that have done it before, some are very happy with their results but others suffered very disconcerting side effects and/or gained back the weight.

Because it's a dangerous diet plan where you eat at anorexic levels and take supplements that have been banned in the US... It's better for your long-term health AND for your success if you take a balanced approach to weight loss. And we're all here to support you in it!!:flowerforyou:

This is the only one who only needs 500 calories a day http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/518970-who-should-eat-500-calories-a-day

I think this diet should be called Starvation. The name is so fancy-artsy-fartsy. It is misleading.

To the OP. That comment was not a snide remark to you. It was for the diet itself.

    To each their own.

    GL.
