My first record ever was a 45 of "In the Summertime" by Mungo Jerry for 89¢.
    I was 10 or 11.

My first album (on vinyl) was "Billion Dollar Babies" by Alice Cooper. $3.99 at Woolco.
    I was 13.

    Good times. :smokin:

    I remember the first album I got as a pre-teen in 1980:

    K-tel - Sound Waves

I played this album on my little portable record player over and over and over - Into the Night by Benny Mardones was my all-time favorite track!

    1. Diana Ross - Upside Down
    2. Lipps Inc - Funkytwon
    3. Spinners - Cupid/I've Loved You For A Long Time
    4. Jermaine Jackson - Let's Get Serious
    5. Prince - I Wanna Be Your Lover
    6. Meco - The Empire Strikes Back (Medley)
    7. Kiss - I was Made For Lovin' You
    8. Pat Benatar - You Better Run
    9. Robbie Dupree - Steal Away
    10. Rocky Nurnette - Tired Of Toein' The Line
    11. Pure Prairie League - Let Me Love You Tonight
    12. Captain & Tennille - Do That To Me One More Time
    13. Air Supply - Lost In Love
    14. Ali Thomson - Take A Little Rhythm
    15. Benny Mardones - Into The Night

If you were raised on the Internet then you grew up in an amazing period. But if you didn't grow up with full-sized album art and liner notes, well then I'm sorry to say that you missed out on some truly epic music appreciation.

    AMEN!

Mine was the Backstreet Boys Millennium. I'm not ashamed to say that I still listen to it now and then and sing the songs at the top of my lungs!
