    So many of us had or still have loved ones with alcoholism so this really hits home. I am so incredibly proud of the choice you made tonight. It speaks volumes to the real strength you have within. Awesome awesome awesome!!!

    Some stories are so refreshing!
    Just want to throw out this thought: I believe your NSV was a whole lot more than not drinking.

    Your non-scale victories were:
    realizing you were in "stinkin' thinkin",
    choosing not to wallow in it,
    choosing a positive action (running) to counter those downward spiralling thoughts,
    changing your own attitude (kissing your wifey),
    and sharing it with others.

    All part of the AA program!

    (PS: We all benefit from these kind of posts~ helps me take stock of where i am and do a moral inventory too! Thank you!)

    I am so, so proud of you. I've had some substance abuse issues in the past, and getting out of that pattern is difficult. To channel that into something healthy is quite commendable. Keep up the hard work.
