    bah i'm sick. So i rested yesterday. I was still good with my diet, but maybe i'm retaining more fluids for some reason because i gained 1.2 lbs. but no worries, I'm sure i'll work it off when i feel better.

    RE:3000 cals. Yeah i wrote it down 2,866 (almost 3k) but I questioned it . According to my BMR, i would have burned approx 550 cals in 5 hours just doing nothing. So taking that away means 2316 left. I suppose that is a more believable number. I still question it. BUT my 20 min workouts register anywhere from 300-500 on my HRM. So dunno. I'll trust it for now as long as I'm still losing :)

    227lb! Thats an increase of 1lb!
    I'm back to where i started 2 weeks ago, time to look at what i'm eating i think because the exercise is going ok.

    Hi Wii Teamers!!

    I've been out of commission since 6/15 due to knee problems. Anyways, I used the custom program for the first time and enjoyed the workout. Not sure if I have the workouts in the right order but will play around with them to get the best workout to burn more calories.

    6/18 - workout #12 - modified challenge
    32.4 cal
    7:27 min

    6/19 - 6/21 rest

    6/22 - workout #13 - modified challenge + customized workout
    58.7 cal - challenge
    14:50 min

    133.3 - customized
    33:13 min

    Not sure how to compute the calories burned for the Wii Fit. It was my rest day from Wii Active.

    Jax;

    One thing my mentors reminded me of when I started out is that muscle weighs more than fat. Burning fat off can be fairly easy. Toning the muscles (or building them while burning fat) may result in minor weight gains.

    Additionally, just by eating a teaspoon of salt one day you can retain as much as a 1/2 gallon of water the next. Water weighs about 8 pounds per gallon so that's four pounds!

    Don't let the one pound worry you. It's a marathon... not a sprint.

    Hey, all. I'm new on here but this post caught my eye. I started wii active last week and have done it 5 - 6 times. I've also been doing the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and after completing it yesterday felt good and thought I'd move right into a 30 day challenge workout. Bad idea. About an hour later I could hardly walk. I tend to work out too hard (without rest days) and over due it. Today, I "rested" and only went for a walk (for an hour). I'm planning on doing either Shred or wii active from now on.

    Ouch! Rest days are so important! I'm glad you listened to your body and took a day off! Welcome to the team!

    Jax, that was me last week....I gained a pound. I agree with the water weight...don't stress on it too much. One pound in the grand scheme of things is no big deal (unless it's a consistant one pound week after week). Hang in there...we're here if you need us!!

    Annaliza - I'm sorry - I completely forgot to weigh in this morning. I will weigh in tomorrow and send it in to you. FYI - I worked out twice this week and burned 100 and 173 calories.

    Annaliza, what are you using to post the stats. All I see is a little box with an "x"? It's probably my system.

    sorry i missed posting: yeah i have gained a little weight the last few days, but I am still down for the week. I had a good weight loss weekend mowing the yard and all :)

    I only did 1 exercise tho:

    SW: 304.2
    CW: 299.0 (yesterday)
    Mon 6/22: exercise 10: 466

    Tonight i have done a session on My fitness coach and burnt 102 cals, now i'm off to do workout number 9 on Wii active :smile: .................

    Ok, so thats number nine done and dusted - i burnt 208cals... worked up quite a sweat on that one :happy:

    ok so not another great week for me but I still lost something. btw I did workout 9 to days ago and burned 169 calories. not as much as usual but its ok and im up to 10pds lost.

    Just keep on plodding on, that is the secret i think, if we keep on doing what we're doing its gotta come off at some point :laugh:

    I did bad too!! In fact I think the scale has crept up a little. I'm going to try to get back to logging my food and doing walking and wii active. Maybe I'll get on the scale NEXT week.

    That's 1lb off.... seems an awful lot of work for one measley pound!

    I was fighting sickness and an injured knee, so I did not do any exercise except swimming. I still was careful about my diet, but i gained a lbs. oh well. I'll get on it double time this week :)

    Hi Everyone,

    Hope you all had a successful 30-day challenge. I will be starting my challenge over today and prayerfully, will be able to continue for the next 30 days successfully. I have not lost any weight due to lack of control of what I put in my mouth but will be putting a lot more effort in during these next 30 days.

    Good morning everyone!!!

    I'll get our chart up here in a bit. I wasn't able to work on it yesterday since it was so busy. I even forgot to weigh myself LOL so I had to weigh myself this morning.

    I took a few days off from logging in MFP. I just sort of felt rebellious I guess. So I weighed myself this morning and I must admit I was holding my breath!! LOL, I was so scared that I had done bad and gained weight.

    But...I lost 3 lbs this week!!

    I might not be so lucky next time so I'm back to logging my food (sometimes it does feel like a chore).

    Me too, Queen, I'm starting my challenge over again as well though I think I'm going to work with the customized workouts. They seem like a lot of fun and makes it feel less like exercise (lol, no kick ups!!).

    Fausttt...hang in there! You are doing such a great job!

    Emmie, I know youre busy :smile: Take some time out for yourself...you deserve it!!

    Jax, 1 lb is great!! Congrats!!! You should be proud of yourself....each pound adds up. (remember - a marathon...not a race :smile: )

    Wii Active Workout #1 - 7/1

    Can someone help me with setting the goals on the Active 30 day challenge? Not sure if I'm doing it right. I want to set my calories burned, workout days, and workouts to:

    150 cal per workout
    3 days a week workout
    1 workout each day

    I have these goals set in the system but it tells me I haven't reach my goals and have me set up for more than 3 days a week. Could this be because it's the challenge and not the customized? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi Everyone,

    On the Active, if you do another set of the same workout, does the calories automatically compute or do it only register the one workout. For instance, if I workout on the challenge for 20 minutes and burn xxx amounts of calories and then do the workout again, will Active add that workout and calories to the goals or will it only take one score and I would have to tally my workouts manually? Thanks for your help.

    Thanks Annaliza for checking on that for me. I need to really burn some calories on these workouts and I don't think I'm ready for the hard level yet.

  • Just got mine today. Haven't had a chance to check it out yet. But will be interested in doing the 30 day challenge.

    Except..... I am schedule for surgery on Thursday so will have to wait for healing first. I can check back later.
