The problem with Italian food is that 3 or 4 days later, you get hungry again.0

Your English isn't too great, either.

Do your job well, and you'll do fine. I think that works for any employers. Good luck.

LMFAO! So true!
Just remember that they're hard working, big hearted people and (typically) nothing like Jersey Shore. They tend to be old school. Especially back east.0 -
Be respectful.
(From an old school italian girl).0 -
My mother is Italian & Mexican. My Italian grandma and my mom are constantly trying to feed people... it can be very counterproductive to my weightloss...0

Amo gli italiani!!!!
From the Italians I've been around, they love to laugh and appreciate honesty. Work hard and you'll succeed there. They're so much fun! BTW I would try to learn some basic Italian. It is such a fun language and beautiful if spoken correctly.0 -
As a cook, it's the same in any kitchen; do more than you're told, never leave the line during rush and work clean.
Easy.0 -

As an Italian who grew up by the Jersey Shore and spent alot of time in Seaside - DO NOT WATCH JERSEY SHORE!!!
We actually take offense to those people pretending that they are anything like us!!0 -

Yay. Xenophobia.
Where in the world did he say he was afraid of them? He just isn't familiar with them and asking questions....i swear mfp gets worse and worse.
To the OP: Everyone is different, not all italians are the same, just as every race.....but one thing is most are loud, straight forward and light hearted people(you will hear more jokes than at a stand-up show, most likely). And they use their hands in talking....a lot. But i'm not italian and i'm all of those things as well, so it just differes from person to person. They are all about respect, as the poster below me wrote, and all about family. Just find out for yourself their personalities and learn who they are as individuals instead of as a "race".0 -
Italians, they're so mysterious.0

defently will keep that in mind...I think my experience had nothing to do with it .....im sure respect and eye contact had everything to do with it....:-D0 -
They have very high family values and they protect their women like jewels. Tip toe around their young women, try to avoid even eye contact. The older women will treat you like their kids (wether you want to be treated like that or not...). DONOT refuse food from their women. If you're dining with them, eat slowly so that your plate is not empty. If the older women see your plate empty, they WILL fill it up and its considered rude to refuse the food.
These ofcourse are highly generelized culture that I have noticed while I lived there and also when I came in contact with them here in US. However in US most of them realize that not everybody is accustomed to their culture and tend to not get offended easily (unless you're eyeing their women, in which case either have a marraige proposal or your running shoes ready).0 -

Yell at customers, and when they ask why you're yelling, ask them "Who's yelling? I'm just talkin' here."0
