What do I do with Nutella? Avoid at all costs!

Just kidding, only kind of. I totally have a weakness for Nutella, but it's so high in sugar. Yikes!

I make my own chocolate hazelnut spread with about half the calories of store bought Nutella with much less sugar (2.5 g compared to 10 g in Nutella!), and it's just as delicious. Maybe even better tasting. Here's a link to the recipe:

    http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2012/01/09/better-than-nutella/

I dip strawberries in it, or spread it on crackers with sliced bananas on top for dessert. YUM!

You all are making me glad that I've never tried Nutella. I have enough food-crack in my life...I don't need to add to the list.

    Ditto!

Spread on a lf graham cracker, add some fruit. I have tried it with orange slices, strawberries, and bananas. So far, I like the strawberries best.

I wonder why they haven't created a sugar-free version yet...that would HAVE to make a lot of money for their parent company.

If you get some wasa bread, low calories, it lets you enjoy without adding a chunk of bread. Also, apples and bananas.

    1. Weight Watchers Banana Nutella Bread. Low(er) cal alternative for banana bread lovers.

    2. Take 1 tbsp and add 1 tbsp of peanut butter -- soften in microwave & stir. Drizzle all over whole wheat pancakes, or over cut up fresh fruit.

Haha. I saw that just now, too.

Reminds me, I should really get around to suing Lay's. I thought all that fried, salty, yummy stuff was healthy because it was made from vegetables, like the potatoes on a chip bag.

Spread a table spoon on nutrigrain lowfat waffles. Slice an apple and place on waffles. Slice a banana over it. It's like having dessert for breakfast!

My favorite Nutella recipe used to be (before I started a healthier lifestyle) to take the frozen Sara Lee pound cake, slice 2 slices off of it, and get out your panini maker. Spread Nutella on the pieces, and add sliced strawberries. Put them together like a sandwich and let the panini maker work it's magic. When toasty and brown, serve it on a plate with Reddi-Whip and a little chocolate syrup. O. M. G.

Now I can't buy it at all. I have ZERO self control when it's in the house. I've been without it for 72 days now. The Nutella withdrawals have been fierce, but I'm hanging in there! LOL!

CRAP!!! I have never tried Nutella. Prolly would never have bought it! Now I HAVE to! CRAP!!! :)

    http://www.navywifecook.com/2012/02/nutella-french-toast-with-strawberries.html

I made French Toast this morning but I only used one slice of bread (cut it in half) and 1/2 teaspoon of nutella in between and then dipped it in egg substitute before browning it.

It was 130 calories of choclatey goodness!
