I did. And we've been married over 4 years now. I lived all the way up at the border of WA and BC and he was going to school in California. I went to visit him in the summer, then we got married, then I moved down to Cali where he was stationed. And now we're in FL. What was helpful was I LOVE LOVE LOVE to drive, lol.

Let's just say this sure thing is HOT, funny, and just downright awesome!

No way. The gas alone would be around $260. You can buy a pretty good hooker for that price (and it'll save you 16 hours of drive time).

If you walk in her house, and you smell cookies baking, look for hidden cameras! Just sayin'

Still no way. Once you get sick of her she'll be reluctant to leave as it's a 8 hour drive home.
  • You have a child involved. You need to proceed with caution. Doesn't matter who's driving. You can't really know a person just from photographs and phone conversations.

The romantic in me says I would drive far more :-) The realist in me is thinking why would I have to when my sure thing is only about 27miles away :-)

I travelled 2592 miles (that's the distance in a straight line) but I didn't drive, I took a plane. So basically it was more than that since planes don't go from A to B on a straight line. Therefore, my answer is yes.

Nope. But I may let him buy me a plane ticket.
    Or...he can do the traveling.

I met my soon to be husband in a random chatroom on yahoo! we finally met 2 years later and have been going strong for almost 5 years now! He lived in AZ I lived in FL. I didnt come to the west coast for him but for something completely different. But I was in Cali and figured 'hey why not swing by Tucson and meet this man' who is also sweet funny and down right awesome! Almost feels like a fairytale the things turned out!

I would say that exactly 'hey why not!' Its worth the risk in my opinion

I didn't go 1000 miles but I did go for a wonderful man that lived 3-4 hours away from where I was. now I'm married to him. He's the love of my life and I can't imagine how I survived without him.
