    Since I started getting back into shape (I started before I joined MFP and became pretty active here), I've bought:

    - 2 pair of running shoes (put 400+ miles on the first pair) since last June
    - Several work out outfits (shorts, shirts, sports bras, wicking socks)
    - GPS watch with HRM
    - Recumbent bike (for when I hurt my knee and couldn't run/walk)
    - Weight bench (actually a gift from work for tracking my food and exercise points)
    - Lord only know how many new wardrobes (went from size 22 to 10), including smaller bras (since the ladies have decided to also lose weight)
    - Several dozen songs on iTunes to put on my iPod
    - 2 new pair of headphones for my iPod
    - 1lb wrist weights to wear when power walking
    - Truckloads of healthier foods

    Battery for my Polar Fitness Watch...can't live without this! Must have for everyone :smile:
    Arm band for Ipod
    Cold weather running gear
    Hot weather running gear
    Running shoes...road and trail
    Running socks
    Chafing cream...running can be painful!
    Smoothie maker from GNC
    Potein bars and powder
    SMALLER Clothes!

    My thought was, I wasn't going to do the gym thing this time. Going to just hit the road...that is free, right? I guess I have still spent quite a bit of money. On the bright side, I have the extra cash for all of this because my husband and I don't eat out as much any more. Cooking (healthier) at home is saving us lots of $$!

    Lots of exercise clothes, HRM, 2 pairs of running shoes, a ball cap with lights for night running, exercise DVD's, treadmill, and tons of healthy food.
    I guess looking at all that, being healthy is expensive :ohwell:

    A whole shebang of foods (too many to list).

    And I am nowhere near the end of this purchasing frenzy.

    A treadmill, HRM, healthy foods, workout clothes and 2 new pails of shoes (one for home/one for gym), and other new clothes because I'm in a size smaller! I've also spent more on making myself feel good as a reward system instead of food: hair, massage, nails, etc.

    If anyone is buying stocks anytime soon, I'm buying lots of stuff at Trader Joe's now, particularly Barbara's Cinnamon Puffins cereal (the only barley-free high-fiber cereal that I'm aware of --- I have a barley allergy)

    May try Chia seeds - depends on pricing

    I already owned lots of exercise DVDs and some books, a balance ball, Wii Fit, Wii Walk it Out, weights, and my parents bought me an exercise bike for my birthday. :)
    The doc's plan is about eating fruits, veggies -- a plant-based, whole foods diet. I just like that he explains how nutrients work in our bodies and why we need them, what will help lower cholesterol and how to prevent disease. It's Dr. Joel Fuhrman's stuff. He recommends low-mercury fish if you eat fish at all. I definitely plan to eat fish and will probably be making rational choices based on what I already know and the information he provides. :)

    I joined in Jan. 2010, and I can't even remember all of the things I've bought ... drawers full of workout clothes, several pairs of running shoes, 2 pedometers, a HRM, a food scale, kettlebells, adjustable barbell/dumbbell, pullup/dip tower, jump ropes, a yoga mat, a foam roller ... I could go on, but you get the picture. And I won't even get into how much cash I've dropped on new clothes.
