How Many Fruit servings do you eat??

I eat three (on banana in my mind equal two servings) and then another piece of fruit per day. The problem is it seems to put me WAY over in my sugar intake. That and my greek yogurt. How do you not exceed your sugar intake, I don't want to cut fruit, that seems silly. Any ideas?

My opinion is that if your sugar is coming from fruit then don't worry about it.

I have 5 or 6 per day. Craisins in my breakfast. Banana morning snack. Apple and craisins in my oatmeal at night. And then I'll snack on apple or grapes or craisins or bananas at some other point during the day.

    I never, ever limit fruit.

Most days I'd have an apple, a banana, some dates, a grapefruit, some raisins, and a yoghurt with some form of fruit compote. Some days I'd eat half a punnet of berries or grapes on top of all this!

I set my diary to not track my sugar as it is always over, but it is natural sugar, so it is fine

I eat 4-6 pieces of fruit per week. We get fruit free at work. Most weekdays I eat one apple. On the weekends I rarely eat fruit, but occasionally will have some blue or strawberries. Some weekdays I'll eat 2 pieces of fruit. I had an orange for lunch today and plan to have an apple with hummus for my afternoon pre-workout snack, but usually it's just an apple.

I don't track sugar but I don't think this would put me over most days as I don't eat many sweets.
  • I was worried about that as well. I eat so much fruit! Apples, oranges, bananas, cantaloupe, grapes, strawberries, etc. and I only eat vegetables around dinner time. Working to change that. But fruit is still healthy and will ALWAYS be a better choice than processed snacks!
  • Right now I only eat two small apples per day. I am trying to get lots of protein in so fruit is my second choice along with lots of veggies.
  • The nutritionist told me 1 C. fruit and I've been worried too about the sugar in fruit because it always puts me over.

I try to eat at least two servings. I don't worry about my fruit sugars either. But I'm also not diabetic.

I usually just limit myself to one green apple a day. I used to eat between 4-5 servings of fruit a day but ever since I did a sugar detox I eat only one piece of fruit daily that has lower sugar content like a green apple or some strawberries or blueberries.

As many as possible each day. Usually it's a few bananas, an apple or orange or two. I throw in a few avocados each week when I can get to my local farmer.Avocados.

i don't really limit my fruit intake. but i do count the calories. to me, i would rather use up the calories on fruit than on other crap. but i am a big moderation in all things kinda guy as well, so i don't think it should be excessive. couple or three, no problem! half dozen is getting up there...

I watched 'The Last 10 Pounds - Bootcamp' so since then, I've tried limiting my fruit to 2 a day - key word TRY haha. Some days I do go over, but I always go over my sugar due to fat free yoghurt and skimmed milk, but until I stop losing, I won't worry too much!

I limit my fruit to no more than 2-3 servings a day, and try to always opt for low glycemic fruits. I do love dates, but save them for special treats or immediately after sustained, endurance training to replace depleted glycogen.

I aim for one a day, but sometimes it's two. I avoid it because of the sugar. I prefer vegetables.

I'd say that as long as it is natural sugar then don't worry. It's the added sugar that's your enemy. :)

I have been severely limiting my fruit. But now I am craving a banana. I bought some for my family and wasn't gonna eat one. But gonna throw caution to the wind and eat one!

At least 2... I used to eat 2-3 apples a day and a banana or two. But I'm trying to limit myself because my favorite apples are going out of style it seems. I would say usually 2-4 servings of fruit per day?

I firmly believe that God put fruit and veg on this earth for us to eat and enjoy (and I'm not a hardout Christian). In Weight Watchers fruit and veg have 0 points - with the exception of avocado, coconuts, bananas (limit to 2 a day) - not that I'm doing WW but that is what I have learn from them in the past.

Usually 2-3, a banana, apple and usually some type of canned fruit in its own juices.

Whats the saying? No one ever got fat eating too much fruit!
