Good Morning Everyone!
I have no idea what this week's challenge is. I took someone's advice and slept in:laugh: so now my child is running a muck while I start this:laugh: . I do have good news.....I'm down 3 pounds, but they don't count:laugh: . I"m now back to my ticker that says I've lost 15 pounds. Which still feels great, by the way. Since now I can see the results of me getting back on track! Hope everyone has a great day!!!!:flowerforyou:

  • Ari- in answer to your question yesterday, totally get the armband. I got mine, for like a $1 on ebay. Just the basic, but it really does hold it good, even through jogging. Sometimes it will pinch a little, but just slide it a bit and you're good to go. You'll love it, I know I do.:wink::laugh:

    it counts it counts happy dance maybe we can all put these bad past few months behind us and start from our ticker number. so proud kacee 3 pounds is incredible. i had this theory that when u hit a wall stop doing everything for a week or 2 then restart so its like ur starting again lol make sense....:drinker: :drinker:

    sorry still havent mastered the double quoting i seemed 2 have gained 2 pound since sun then i was reminded i had hot dogs last night so im gonna reweigh later.

    yes im am def gonna get the arm band i need one that will stay put not break and will hold my new ipod but since 2 have said go for it then i know its a good investment. now to research.

    I hit a wall and gave up for a few weeks. Sat on my butt & ate pizza & beer (for real-I actually left and went on vacation lol).

    Now I'm back...and didn't gain any weight! I was surprised...and got over my healthy food phobia (really? I have to eat it FOREVER??)

    Anywho...sooo....the challenge for this week?? I didn't see one yet so my suggestion (I'm just throwing it out there feel free to pick something else) is:

    Pushups...has that been done yet?

    ari - i def vote armband as well, amazon also has some cheap ones. they are the bomb.

    going home tomorrow! excited but very nervous about food and exercise (no gym) - any advice on how to mix it up at home without a gym? i have a bad knee so i cant run outside or do anything too stressful. thanks!!

    maintaing is better then gaining remember that and remember our my motto slow and steady wins the race ok...im totally getting the arm band but i was on the apple stor site some of the reviews made me a litttle nervous - too loose too tight cant change the songs couldnt get it out. one looke good but ill see and let u all know cause as the weatehr gets hotter there will b no way around it cause im not carrying it and i can keep looking down at my pocket to make sure its didnt fall...also my mother who has the flu was feeling up to a walk today we did 47 min then got beat by the heat (lol that rhymed)

    Hello all! I'm stuck at the same, but feeling really good right now... As for a strength training challenge, how about doing lunges and squats twice this week, and then doing push-ups, on knees, twice this week? We could shoot for 3 sets of 12 of each exercise... Or as many as possible... Just throwing it out there!:bigsmile:

    I walked all over the place today with my girls and their friends... It had to have been at least 4 miles! We had a ball, and EVERYONE is going to sleep well tonight!

    I was down 1 lb this week. Not as much as I would like but hey it is better than nothing. I am so busy so probably wont be back on this week. Next week is my final and this weekend I have my lo's first birthday party with about 40 people and my girl scout troop end of year movie party. I am so busy. I also have some homework that needs done by tomorrow. No clue when that will get done since it is 3:13 pm here. Well talk to you all later. Wish you a good week.

    i like this... i have been wanting to add squats and lunges to my routine.

    Wed. -- Squats
    Thur. -- Push-ups
    Fri. -- Sit-ups
    Sat. -- Lunges
    Sun. -- Free day (or choose another day and just substitute for this day)\
    Mon. -- Squats & Push-ups

    Ok so here's the deal.....we hate all of these, and I didn't know I could do any of them till I pushed myself. SO push yourself. I still don't know if I can do all 3 sets, but I'm going to try. I'm pretty sure I might die on the push ups, but even if I only get 8 in a row, that's 8 more than I did yesterday!
    So Ari & Sudzie, will you do the push-up days with me? The only way we're going to be able to say that we can do push-ups is by doing push-ups!

    Love this idea! Down one pound for the week! Sorry I was in MIA for a few days - life is crazy.....work is taking up a good deal of time, then our church is having our Vacation Bible school this week, and I am trying to clean and organize my house in preparation for my vacation to the beach.

    im always willing 2 try something once and when i think i cant do something i like to prove i can so COUNT ME IN :wink: Although i like how u stuck push ups in there twice :bigsmile: was this on purpose fearless leader??? i may have 2 do shred 2day cause its pouring and mama still sick and im having bad allergy day so im gonna do my wed squats and just so i can maybe build up stamina attemtpt the push ups every day ill report back honestly how i did if i was able 2 do any (pushups that is)

    hows every one doing with water - ive been making diet iced tea crystal light its been helping me go over my water

    of course! i may have to start out with those knee push ups if that's ok though... but ill try to work up to the real deal!

    had a bad last couple of days - i had no internet at home so i couldnt log foods which is never good. now i am home and DYING to go grocery shopping so that i have food i can and WANT to eat in the house that will not ruin my day. its going to be hard since we go out to eat a lot here, but i am determined to keep the good choices coming, ill just need my sisters to keep me motivated!!
  • Heck yeah knee push ups are fine....I'm not cool yet to do freakin boy puch-ups...are you crazy?
    Jess -- just think, if you eat in, then you'll also save money. So with the money you saved you can buy a new pair of jeans from losing weight cuz you didn't eat out. :laugh:
    PS had to do 30 day shred and plus squats of course:wink: (it's been raining all day)

  • I know what is up with that? Anyway, gloomy again today, but the thunder is rolling in now. It's ok though, cuz I got my morning-hating-lazy butt up and went jogging:bigsmile: I will say I'm very proud of myself, 25 minutes straight! wah-hooo:laugh: Now on to those push-ups (which I think will be harder than the jogging:laugh: ).     Sorry I have been so MIA recently this last term of school is killing me with all the trials I have to do...

    I maintained this wk :grumble: But I have been running everyday which I am hoping will help. It is cold here as well, today I am wearing a tank top and a sweater. I am going massive grocery shopping tonight because I realize that my biggest downfall is eating out all the time.

    I was able to do the first set, but had to grunt and take a few breaks for the next 2. Yesterday sit ups were good. My abs were already sore when I started them though, from jogging? I know weird. At least I thought so.:laugh:
    Everyone must be out enjoying some weather. I was supposed to get my garden in this weekend, but thanks to an annoying hubby, it'll be put off, yet again.:grumble: It's horribly windy anyway, I'll just con him into tilling it for me and he can get dirty instead of me:laugh: :laugh:
