Your journey is about awareness (which you have), choices, and action. There is no tomorrow. There is only now. Stop feeling guilty for what you have done. You cannot change the past, you can only choose to do or not do Now.

Perfect! It will happen. I still have these days but just remind yourself the reasons you're trying to better your life. And remember that this is your life and you're going to have bad days. Just make sure your better days outweigh your bad.
  • Ok I have been on MFP for going on 4 months and I have only lost 5 pounds. And that is because I am trying to lose weight but still eat out every week not once but twice even 3 times. So I lost 1 more pound today and what did I do I went to dennys and had lunch and I am feeling so guilty because I feel like I am just a failure like hello Nina why am I even on here. So Today is a big day for me I am going to put the effort into my change of life in eating. I have a choice to say so to bad things for me and yes to good things its just right now I feel like a PIG :(
  • It's crazy how those craving re-apper when that time rolls around! I too, have difficulty during this time! Lately, I just try to get out of the house and away from the food for a bit. Go for a walk, and by the time I am done, they are gone! I have to remind myself, I am not really hungry. Try to delay it, don't eat unless you are really hungry! It seems to help a little. But, I do also indulge a little in those not so healthy things once in awhile. I don't intend on depriving myself! If I do go wayyyy over...I start over, as soon as I can!

This happens to me every so often. I always feel like a glutton when it happens, but fortunately, it doesn't seem to drastically affect my weight for the long term. Sure, for a day or two, I gained a couple lbs. but it comes back off.

Don't sweat it. happens to the best of us and all we can do is move forward. :)

take a look at your weekly goal .It's Monday, you could compensate for that by cutting a little off of each of the days remaining and still hit your weekly goal

It happens and can sometimes be helpful for weight loss to have the "spikes" in your week. Track it, move on and definitely don't feel guilty :)

I'm w/her...its sadly, part of our 'make up'. But just do the best you can to get thru this part and move on. I'm about to be on the same boat and going to avoid my scale and just take it ONE MEAL AT A TIME!! :) It's all good! thanks for sharing!

    You have several options:

    1. Chaulk today's meal as a great one that you enjoyed. Yay for you for enjoying life!

    2. You have 6 days to "make up" the calories you went over in today. 1000/6 = 166.67 calories to burn each day for 6 days. 1000/5 = 200 calories to burn each day for 5 days. 1000/3 = 333.33 calories to burn each day for 3 days.

Just remember this: one meal/one day isn't going to ruin all your hard work thus far. :)

Just remember that tomorrow is a new day and you can start over! Just because yesterday you fell off the diet plan doesn't mean you can't have a new start the next day. Instead of beating yourself up, just dust yourself off and start over. You can do it!

Agree- sometimes an indulgence is okay. One day blowing the diet isn't going to ruin your whole program--unless you let it. Just remember that you have go get back with it after your break, and don't beat yourself up over it. Just keep focused on the end goal. Heck, maybe it even helps to give yourself a day off once in awhile (not TOO often); It will help remind you of why you're doing it.
  • It happens to the best of us, what makes us successful though is the ability to shake it off and learn from it and then move on. Don't let two bad days turn into 10 and then more. You can choose to turn it around at any moment and keep moving forward
