Hi all,
Just curious about if any of you are noticing sleep disorders, or improvements since starting on this health journey? I'm having some real issues with sleep-doing way too much of it. (My cals are low and I use a wheelchair right now, so I have to keep them low. Would never have lost 18 lbs with a 1500/+- daily cal count.) But I'm wondering mainly if any of you have ideas on the hours before sleep, how do you plan that time? Listen to music, do any meditation, take a bath, or is it Nancy Grace and CNN right up until you plop into bed?
Thanks for any and all of your 'prep time' (good) habits for better sleep!

I heard many times over the years that a healthy lifestyle filled with healthy foods and exercise will improve the quality of your sleep and make it so that you need less sleep. But in the two-ish months since I have been making an effort to be healthier, I have not noticed any difference in my sleep. I don't wake up feeling refreshed unless I've had 9-10 hours of sleep, while my boyfriend is just fine after 6 hours. Now, I don't always eat the cleanest or do strenuous exercise, but I am much healthier than I was two months ago, and I would have thought it would make a difference to how much I sleep and how tired I feel throughout the day.
So I'd also be interested to know how others' get better sleep.0 -
I sleep better if I try to stick to a sleep/wake schedule. I go to bed at 10 and get up at 6 or 7.
An hour before bed I lower the lights, drink some SleepyTime tea, and watch TV at a lower volume.
Once I'm in bed I try to shut out all thoughts. I have blackout curtains and I sleep with a fan running all year round as white noise. I live in a condo, so the neighbors aren't always on my same schedule. Quiet and darkness are important for me.0 -
ah, so I'm not the only one  here with sleep issues...

I used to have really bad insomnia. I've slept the best I have in years, just by not even a week of healthy eating and exercise.... It's actually awesome lol.0
