My wife nags me until I answer her. You could try that.
LOL!
I'm going to hang tight. I know that it hasn't been that long since I asked. :blushing: I'm embarassed to admit it's only been one day. :blushing: I'm at a point where I'll do anything to get my weight to move and it's not. I'm very frustrated and really don't know which way to turn.
OMG... one day? thats it? Sorry but the person you are trying to reach perhaps might not be on at the same time as you... they could even be busy to the point they will do their logging in at night...
Gotta give people some sort of break here...especially after only one day0 -
After reading and rereading and rereading your post......My advice resend the pm and clearly as for said advice and ask for a response back :flowerforyou:0

And there could have been a bug, preventing the message from ever reaching it's recipient... and maybe the recipient just didn't feel like replying.0 -
Ummm 0_o wow0

Maybe they feel that even though they have had success they are not capable of giving you the answers they think you need.0

Did you include payment with your request for advice?
If so, you are well within your rights to be upset that they haven't responded yet?
Does your friend have their terms of service clearly stated in their profile, with their standard expectations for turnaround on advice requests?0 -
Wait, you were ASKING them for advice and got no response? Try a PM.
It was a PM.
Oh. And this happened repeatedly you said? Something's going on; not sure what. I guess the next option is to post the question to the general MFP forums.0 -

The friendship agreement perhaps needs to be nullified.0 -

Tas, did ya see this part?

Let me get this straight...you're publicly threatening to delete a friend who hasn't responded to your PM in ~24 hours. Do I have that right?0

Gawd! I know what you feel like. I asked MissKourtney for advice and it's been at least 5 minutes and she has not responded. I mean seriously. I know she's on MFP. She's right there.
Kourtney. I won't be IGNORED!0 -

Maybe it's because you misspelled my name, and the message never made it.0 -

Personally, I would never answer his question if he did that to me. Totally unforgivable. I'm gonna defriend him just for what he did to you..... Well, he's not on my FL, but I WOULD HAVE if he was.
That should make him pay more attention, I think.0 -
Maybe your riddle-speak confused the individual ; He/she may not have known how to respond to such confusion.0

Aw, blank. And I was so blanking proud of that. Reading comprehension, Swan. Blank.0 -
I have alot of friends (around 250), and I always try to respond on their posts and give advice. Most of the time though, they don't respond back. If I want it to be more personal, I send a PM, and sometimes, they still don't respond. It is ok though.
Life is hectic and can get very crazy - it doesn't mean they aren't listening to your advice. I am a single mother of 2 babies, so my life gets pretty crazy. I usually only delete people if they haven't been active for 20-30 days, but I have deleted those because of my own depression issues (I couldn't handle their depressing mood).0 -

Further along from the original post she did actually state she is having trouble getting her weight to shift, but then I guess you were all so busy being 'funny', 'nasty' and 'clever' that you missed that.0

Thats not the problem and no, no one was being nasty...
What you failed to acknowledge is that the OP later admitted she was impatient after ****only one day*** (she admitted to being embarassed over that as well) from sending her request for advice. The majority of us are simply stating... its only one day... there could be a million reasons why she hasnt answered yet - many answers gave examples of how not all messages are answered whether it be the person, MFP, the internet, or the fact that life can force you to prioritize things and not everyone can answer as quickly as other people. OP just needs to realize its only been a day...and she simply needs to be patient. Or, she can ask someone for help via a PM, or post her request on the boards...0 -
Is it "unfriend" or "defriend"? I always get confused.0

I didn't fail to acknowledge it I chose to ignore it. Yeah she is overreacting, I get it, but I think sometimes people try to be funny instead of helpful, IMHO.0 -

In your opinion, I read things a little differently0
