Another cool thing to check out is http://jog.fm You type in how fast you want to run, and it will give you a list of songs with the right bpm's to pace yourself by. You can also filter it by genre, so if you have a certain kind of music you like or want to ignore, you can!
This was gonna be my reply! Love this site
Awesome! Thanks!0 -
I don't listen to normal music when I run. Usually I put on some kind of mix. DJ Steve Boyette puts out a new Podrunner mix every couple weeks. It's trance music, mostly, and is in a good BPM to run to (anywhere from 130-175 BPM). EDIT: This is a free podcast, available on both iTunes and http://www.djsteveboy.com/mixes.html
The other music I listen to when I run are a couple hour-long mixes that Jillian Michaels had shared on her Facebook page a long while ago. I can't remember the DJ who created the mixes, Giancarlo something-er-other. I'll check when I get home. Both are mixes are popular music, good beats. And I actually think i like some of the songs that are in there (a little weird for a traditional metal/hard rock guy).0 -
Fun topic!
Ruff Ryderz Anthem by DMX is not terribly appropriate but has been on my playlist for years and kicks my *kitten* into gear every time!0
