100 day progress (pics)

I started changing the way I eat and exercise on the 5th Jan 2012.
After many failed attempts to be healthier I looked at what I had done in the past and why they resulted in me going back to my unhealthy ways. I came up with the following.
I quickly get bored when on diets that restrict some types of food but allow unlimited of other types.
When I have counted calories and kept back a significant portion of my calories to combat my evening snack cravings I have failed.
I needed to find a way to easily track calories and exercise as I got bored of having to look up items several times in the past.
I had to push myself to get down the gym, no easy way of getting over this, it needed strong will power.
No matter what I ate I had to make sure that I got enough fruit/veg, protein, fiber etc.
I have discovered a lot in the first 100 days including
Some of the foods that have a higher than expected calorie content
Some of the foods that are filling and low calorie
The choice of vegetable accompaniment to a main meal can make 100's of calorie difference
I do not need to snack at night
The gym can be rewarding
Protein fluff is amazing
I still have a long way to go but here are my starting and 100 day pictures.
396 lbs, 20.2 inch neck, 60 inch waist, 52.5 inch hips (5th Jan 2012)
292.5lbs, 17.25 inch neck, 48.5 inch waist, 45.5 inch hips (13 April 2012)
