Ok soo I totaly went salad only for lunch with chicken but made it so big and then use blue cheese drsg. so no more salad bar for me. But it could of been worse. Will go to the gym after work today0

So, I probably did okay this week. I did my friday workout that I had already posted on Saturday but went that night to the dirt track races....(LOVE ME SOME DIRT TRACK RACING) and I ate "concession stand food": 1 hot dog, nachos, and 2 cookies. I did drink water and lots of it. So I have really done good with sodas. i will only sip a little every now and then from my hubbies. So I have went from 2-3 diet cokes a day to only maybe a half of one every week. :drinker:
yesterday I spent nearly 2 hrs in the garden picking all of our veggies and weeding out the weeds from between all the plants. We picked soooo many cucumbers, zuchinni, and squash. Oh and some peppers. Went back home and canned/pickled about 25 jars worth. Starting to do this, just this year and having so much fun with it. I have given a few jars away to friends and family and they have loved it. But we still have an entire wheelbarrow full!!!! No lie. I have to get my moms food saver bags and I am bagging and freezing them so I can have them this winter. yummm cant wait for the rest of the veggies to come in. We have 30 tomato plants about 20-25 white corns and 20-25 yellow corn. Sweet potatoes, string beans and bush beans, bell peppers, and okra. Its a huge garden!!! :bigsmile:
Anyone traveling to Douglasville Ga...stop in and get you some veggies...we have plenty.
Anywho as I was saying....with the gardening I have done, I bruned nearly 300 calories and doing it again tonight b/c we have to tie up the tomato plants. They are getting wayyy too big. So Ive done okay but need to do better. I need to push just a bit harder with myself and get out and do a little bit more. may break out the jump rope and start doing it. Havent done it in years but I know i can burn lots. so we will see.
hope everyone elses monday is going good. we have been slammed all day...love it b/c the days almost up. yeah!!!!

Had to transfer chart from one institution to another, train down and 100 degrees outside, so got a minny workout in at work:laugh:0

:bigsmile: started out the day really good....... started sampling everything in the house twords dinner, but I am 900 calories under tonight (from my work out and mowing the yard today) so i think I am good although it feels like I might burst at any minute. Ill go for a walk when It settles!

Mornin all! Weird night lastnight, bf was giving me work advice (he's not working so I can see how this would make him feel better...) and it turned into a huge emotional thing and my "winding down" work for my first vacation day was still going well after 10 pm est...............:grumble:
Now, I'm up early :noway: and want to be happy cause I leave tomorrow, today is filled with nails, hair appt, spray tanning..........I guess I should fit packing in there somewhere:laugh:0 -

Well the little one woke me up Way too easrly this morning, so i am rummaging around to see what kind of food is up in this house!
hopefully I can get a good walk in this morning and a circuit going too, as I fell asleep lastnight:grumble:

yesterday ended up being a horrible eating day for me, and b/c of it i had an upset tummy for almost 4 hrs....it was so bad i could not eat supper. that cannot happen again. UGH! :noway:
so, today is going better. i do have a bus trip this afternoon, so will get my walk in. what is everyone doing for their circuit? is this thru Fri? and every day? i have a hoola hoop and finally got the hang of it. it really depends on how you stand and fast you go.....concentration!!

missvita ~ darn those early risers! hope your workout was good!
kitn ~ dont fret about your day at the races, it's ok. you have done soo good on your pop, isn't that great! your garden sounds WONDERFUL!!YUM! i love fresh produce. our veggies won't be ready for at least a month or so. jump roping is very good exercise. it gets the heart rate up quickly...that will boost your metabolism!!

and I ate 2 whole pieces of cheese pizza before anyone could count to 2:laugh: really though they disappeared
hopefully I can kick my butt tomarrow!
my promise to myself is that I can cut my hair short when i loose 12 more pounds, and by god it is driving my nuts this long junk, to my booty:happy:
anyhow, back on track and a happy face in the morning I hope!

I fell off too. I went food shopping after work and by the time I got home I was so tired that I ate what I cooked for everyone else. I know I can do better. I will do better. Im going to go walking today after work so that I can get some workout in before getting home or else I won't do it at all...:laugh:

sounds like some of us are struggling a little here and there, i know i am ....i just want you guys to know that this whole lifestyle change is a complicated process.....it is NOT easy changing the way we have lived and for some the way we were raised. habits are hard to break......but i know with each day that passes and you continue on this journey that you WILL get there. little changes one at a time (not too many all at once ) will prove success in the end. try to start each day with that affirmation that brought you here. really be mindful of all that you do. plan your meals ahead of time, snacks too. eat your way to longterm health. keep that date with the treadmill...keep exercise like an appointment you wouldn't stand up. you can't let what life throws at you derail you. it's natural to splurge now and then, just don't use it as an excuse to binge. have your favorites, but in moderation and a healthy portion size. it can and likely will take months to lose wt, that is normal, and you have the rest of your life to keep it off. we are all learning here.....and mostly, trying to change. don't give up on yourself team.....you CAN lead a healthy lifestyle that will help create your foundation for success!!0 -

Ok all i got to Vent!! I will say sorry in advance. TEENAGERS!! they are putting me thru major Hell. My sister had surgery Monday, she really having a hard time, She just now coming to term with her illness and last night kept me up talking about the reality of her needing a pacemaker. My aunt is bleeding out and they have to do surgery(stomach ulcerations) and another aunt just went into coma monday and will probably leave us within the week (cancer) and if thats not enough the projects and deadlines at work are killing me and my ex is starting to act like a stalker again.I wont even bring up fianance.AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Needless to say I have not been taking any me time and it shows but how does one do that with so much going on. Its like I know that if I had gone to the gym the work out would of help both mentally and physically but I just felt to drained to go. And I still ended up not going to bed till after midnight i just need to force myself to go wheather I feel like it or not, becuase if I had gone i would not have gone over my calories, thus not eaten as much and show a 2 pound weight gain.AgHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

This has been an odd weeek for alot of us, sounds stressful. Although I'm leaving today, I totally stressed my self out by doing things that should be relaxiing....hair, nails and spray tan. Ladies, I almost passed out during my spray tan, got all woozy, I had ate, I think I have just been rushing around too much. Now I'm on the downlow and waiting for the Super Shuttle. Hey all well its getting a little rough, I am gonna try hard not to disappear but it appears that my Aunt Susan may leave us before nightfall, so please keep the family in prayer. I think I will leave and put my frustration into a workout and see if I can be mad at the machines for awhile. My sister is really havin a hard time, since she stills feel like $%^& from surgery so pray for Mere Mere to.

Well I just wanted to let my green bean buddies know that I lost my job today. They eliminated half of my department. I knew this was coming but many others were caught off guard and had no idea. So anyways I am going to be sticking with my program but just won't be checking in as much. I have a lot to figure out in a very short period of time. I'm a little stressed but am glad that I am not eating to calm my nerves.

Happy Thursday Green Team buddies....and hang in there everyone, its almost FRIDAY!! i managed to get in my 'wog' yesterday and glad i went when i did cuz it got hot/humid here....:glasses: i did 3.3 miles, avg speed was 4.3 and max was 11 (yeah, i had a littel burst of energy in there...
) hrm said i ditched 363 calories. need to keep at this and improve all my numbers. i did 10-12 minutes of the circuit too. today is my 'errands' day..shopping. s'pose to be warmer today, so will be going here soon as the 'city' is always hotter!
wow, some tough times going on here gang.....don't lose your grip on the lifestyle you are trying to grasp......
missvita ~ hey there lady! you go girl...keep bringin' the motivation! have you always had long hair? one time i let mine get to almost my shoulders. it was fun, but i couldn't handle it. seems like i always get it even shorter for the summer!

Hey all,
I had a pretty good day yesterday. Food choices were pretty good except that I came under my calorie count but I just think I didn't eat enough calories at Breakfast.
I went walking right after work so I felt pretty good. Its hard at times for me to get a workout in, not because I can't but because I HATE:mad: working out.:laugh: Just not my thing. Im slowly but surely working myself into liking it:noway: ...lol

sincereme: it has been my experience that if you start out slow with your exercising, but work up to doing it consistently (4-5 days a week), not only will you stop hating it, but you might actually start to like it. Especially they way you feel after you are done.
I think most of us have trouble fitting it into our schedules. Some weeks are better than others, but just keep trying. Even if you don't feel like exercising, try to just do a little. Usually, once you get started, you will be glad you did it.

Hi all! how are you today? well it is offically summer and my oldest child is out of school now :noway: so i got to sleep in until 8 am this morning which was wonderful!
Planning to hit the gym today as i did nothing yesterday but scrub my kitchen from top to the floor!
Been doing good food wise. Yesterday I couldn't get but a glass of water down me until 5pmI froze the bottle that I use and I couldn't drink it because my body didn't want that cold in me. so I was dehydrated all day, but after 5 pm the water got warmish and I drank lik 7 8oz glasses in a row:bigsmile:
Kelly- my hair has always been long, I did cut it really short in 2001 ( when i went to bootcamp) and then kept it about sholder length until 2005 . then i let it grow, not it is to my booty, and I want it cut! but I don't like the way my 2 chins look with short hair, so i gotta drop a chin first:bigsmile:
anyhow i gotta go my child just knocked down her bowl of cheerios, and is looking at me to clean it, like she doesn't know how to!0
