Thank you, it's so nice of you all to respond and give advise. I tried and make an appointment with a gynaecologist, but they have no appointments for a month now :-( will see if my period comes back next month as usual, and if not, they just have to check me through properly !:frown:

Sorry to hear you've had such a negative experience!

I used to get sudden bloating, with pain in my low abdomen, and I was experiencing cysts in my ovaries - it's happened many times - they just burst and reabsorb - I had one that was the size of a small egg, which was monitored with ultrasound, and it too burst. I went on to have two babies.

Sending you positive vibes and happy thoughts!

Please do let us know what happens!

I've seen others on threads with this so you are not alone. Do a search or start a new thread about it. Getting some support from others who have it will help.

I'm not sure if you've looked on the net for support groups but here is one I found. They have message boards and info.

I hope you get all the help you need:flowerforyou:

    Hi SimonsSchatz.

Don't be terrified. Just like you have with your fitness plan, take control of this. Learn about it and learn how to manage it. Like anything, the more you know, the better you'll be able to cope and understand how to help yourself. Keiko's suggestion of finding a support group is fantastic. I just googled PCOS and found lots of information.

    Best of luck to you!

Please do not be scared. I have pcos and they think that is why my twins came early. It is a little harder to lose weight but the more you lose the better your symptoms get. It will be okay. Several years ago i was told that i was not able to have children. I have lost 1 child when i was 3 months along my second was 6 months into the pregnancy when i lost it. I decided to take control of my life and got healthy. I now have a 3 year old girl and one year old twin boys. It can be a rough road but do not let the doctors tell you it is not going to happen. My neighbor has PCOS and she had a daughter just 2 months after me, she was told that she was not going to have children either.

I have found that Fiber One Bars give me that bloated feeling along with tons of gas. I thought it was just all the extra fiber that I had added to my diet, but I started eliminating foods to find the culprit and it was the Fiber One Bars that seemed to cause the most problems.

TCASMEY, Did you replace the Fiber One bars with other fiber and did not have the bloating? I have the bloated feeling too, and am wondering if I tried another Fiber Bar if it would help.
  • The doctors told me a little over a year ago that I had pcos! The doctor told me that once I lost some weight that I would probably get pregnant on my own without his help! I know I can have babies because when I was smaller and in shape (@ the age of 17) I got pregnant and had a beautiful baby girl! But before I lost some pounds, every couple of months I would get bloated and it would hurt so bad that i didn't want to move and I would have sharp pains right around my ovaries but thankfully since losing 20lbs I have had no more of that pain and my periods are becoming more regular! Hope this helps...
