and until his rehab is complete, our foster baby, Foamy
I LOVE that you named the squirrel Foamy! One of my favorite internet past-times
we had a huge family debate on names. Foamy won because this little guy is a chatterbox when he's mad. We're in the weaning stage, and this morning he woke me up by screeching loudly until I opened his pen, then sat on my shoulder "cursing" me out before he'd even touch his breakfast.
Lady Katie Scarlett O'Hara Meeker, she's a beagle/border collie mix.
My wife adopted her from the Grand Rapids humane society about 11 years ago. She was found abandoned, tied to a porch for almost 10 days and eating snow, in the middle of January.
After bringing her home, Katie raised her paws to the sky and declared, "I WILL NEVER GO HUNGRY AGAIN!!!"
I love a good rescue story *tear
We have a female squirrel that visits us in the summer time. We call her Peanut. We rattle the peanut bag and she comes running for her peanuts, unsalted and raw of course. She is funny. She will sit on your leg and look up at you waiting fro you to give her a peanut.0 -
I love the pet names ALMOST as much as I love the pictures.0

awwww. Foamy here is going to a rural home where his lack of human fear won't get him into trouble. Often, when wildlife gets rehabbed, that lack of fear is a death sentence when they seek out human attention.0 -

So many cute pictures!
My baby--Cooper, he's 3 now.
Connor, we adopted him this past summer and he's 2 1/2. We almost didn't adopt him, they said he was a loner dog (which he kind of is) and needed a lot of work. In reality all he needed was love and time. We used to call him robot dog, because he would sit in the same spot and do nothing. All you would see is his tail wag. He didn't know what toys were. He had no idea what belly rubs were. He couldn't chew anything. We think they used to hit him because whenever you would raise your hand to do something near him he'd cower away. Now if you're not giving him enough attention he comes right up to you and demands it, he loves belly rubs and toys, especially ones he has to chew (my golden no doubt rubbed off on him very fast). He's so loving.

But these are my FAVORITE babies! Bearded Dragons are Super Cuddly and I love them beyond words!
This is Axel, he's our rescue dragon. He was basically starved for four months before we got him. He's still pretty skinny but happy as a clam. I love making furniture for them...strange but true!
and this is my fatty dragon Ormie. She is the love of my life - and seriously, the best pet I've EVER had! high maintenance, but worth it.
I'm glad to see another beardie lover. I don't have a pic of mine here but I have one that is 4.5 years old now I guess and has banana yellow legs when happy.0 -
Mi lovable pit (who is no longer with us) Lala
My very spoiled and obedient min pin Scooby (had him since he was 6 weeks he is now 7yrs)and my attention grabber Chiquita

Only one is furry, but here goes!
Master Shredder, the love of my life! He's a bearded dragon I rescued when he was a hatchling...they didn't think he'd survive a week. Four years later, he's huge and crazy! When the man works 3rd shift, she sleeps on my chest (like in the pic).
And Axl Rose...another rescue. I got him the day he was supposed to be euthanized because he was "too old" to adopt (only 7!). I have always had dogs and reptiles, and never liked cats, so this was a big change, but he's just like a strange looking dog! He does tricks, and needs as much attention as dogs...not like most cats I've seen!

I love that you're fostering a squirrel! My great-grandmother used to rehab a lot of wild animals. She had a number of different birds (including an owl with a broken wing), squirrels, rabbits...whatever she or I found that was in need of care.0 -
