Has anyone tried any of these. They have a ton and their website is waldenfarms.com they have bbq sauce, salad dressing, syrup, ketchup, mayo, etc. Fat free, calorie free, carb free, sugar free, gluten free, etc. Curious of the taste!

To be that free in all those things, makes me wonder how processed they are.
  • That doesn't sound like they are being all that truthful.. Sounds fishy to me! I'd do some research ;)

I have had the bbq sauce, maple syrup, the strawberry syrup, and the chocolate sauce. They are all pretty good. The maple syrup is real close if not better than regular maple syrup. And yes they full of unnatural ingredients.

If a serving size is less than five calories, they can call it zero. Even if it isn't.

Just a warning to those who might go all buck-wild on those foods. (Not that likely since most of them taste bad)

I've used the pancake syrup. It was good, but it's too expensive

I tried their salad dressings and didn't care for them. Their other products tend to have bad reviews. I would look online at amazon.com or netrition.com and check out the reviews.

this is what it says.Walden Farms irresistibly sweet calorie free specialties are prepared with real fruit extracts, concentrated natural flavors, rich cocoa and other natural ingredients, all sweetened with Splenda. Our savory specialties are made with hundreds of freshly ground herbs and spices, concentrated natural flavors and the finest aged imported and domestic vinegars.
I guess they do contain some sodium but lower than normal.

I've tried the pancake syrup and the chocolate sauce. Both are really good. You should try it.

I tried the dressings and they tasted like *kitten*. Waste of four bucks. I won't even bother with the rest of their products.

I think it's all going to boil down to if you like the taste. I've tried a strawberry jam, the chocolate sauce and 2 dressings (honey mustard and ranch)....honestly, if I could give them to you I would. I think they have a "fake" taste to them (yes I know its low fat/cal). The honey mustard is the only one I don't think has a chemical taste to it. I know mend-a-body recommends a lot of these but I guess I'd rather eat healthy & REAL stuff in moderation than put a chemical crap storm in my body to save calories. Good luck!

I like the chipolte dressing, and some of the other products, the carmel syrup and chocolate syrup...I mix them in stuff to add flavor...

didn't like the dressings or peanut butter spread (although it is ok to add to shakes). I like the bbq sauce, pancake syrup and chocolate sauce. Haven't tried any others but wonder about the caramel and marshmallow dips.

I was intrigued at first but they all contain suclarose or aspartame - an artifical sweetner that is chemical and dangerous, its even contained in rat poisin (sp) dont ask me why the fda thinks its safe. Do some research almost all calorie free options are calorie free bc they use this chemical to add "flavor" without the calories. I use bolthouse farms ranch for dressing all natural and 45 calories for 2 tbs and tastes DEVINE! I have yet to find a syrup option that is low cal though but im not willing to eat that chemical to have it.

I concur, you need something there for taste. I not real sure but it seems they would need to have chemicals and be highly processed and/or artificial.

I tried the blue cheese dressing. It was okay, not wonderful. Less is definitely more, if you put too much its not going to taste good. I tried the chocolate dip, and it was good with strawberries.
  • I've used a lot of their products because the Ideal Protein that I was on for a while reccomends them. The salad dressings are good and the maple syrup is great. I've had the mayo's and they are ok, but they are so expensive I tend to stick with fat free miracle whip instead. The peanut butter is disgusting, don't waste your money. The bbq sauces are more like steak sauces than bbq sauces to me but they do not taste bad. Overall the dressings and maple syrup are the best and I continue to buy and use them even though I am no longer on the IP diet, but the other things I don't spend my money on.

I have tried a dozen or so as they were all the rage last year in our area. A few people said they liked them. I didn't honestly "enjoy" a single thing. Some were palatable but others were down right horrific. There was a distinct chemical taste. My suggestion would be to stick with REAL food.

I don't know why people eat "fat free". It is not good for you. There is nothing wrong with fat, your body needs fat in your diet. Read this article and it will make you think....

I'm curious about the serving sizes, if one serving is less than 5 calories.
  • I've tried the Ranch dressing and I like it, sure it's kind of runny, but I personally like my salad dressing that way. I've also tried the tomato & basil pasta sauce, I added sauted zucchini, squash, onion & tomato to it, along with some fresh basil & thyme, and I thought it was yummy. I suppose it all depends on your taste.

So basically you made your own pasta sauce and added some chemicals to it lol

I have never tried them, I have been curious but I have seen others on hear say they are super gross, so I stick to 'sugar free' 'low fat' lite' etc... "calorie free" kinda freaks me out though, to scieney I think lol

    Just recieved my order yesterday.

French onion dip -> edible with carrots or celery, i got it to dip veggies. So far so good. I think the more eat the the more I may dislike it. lol.
Alfredo Sauce -> Was edible. I personally would prefer soya sauce with basil on my pasta to the alfredo. I'll finish the jar though... I just wish pasta wasn't so many calories!
Strawberry Jam/cement -> Definately edible. Very hard. Would be fine in my PB & Jam wraps.
Chocolate Peanut Butter -> The grossest thing I've ever tasted in my life. I'm keeping it to make other people try it though... It'll be a conversation piece.
