Oh my goodness--there are WAY TOO MANY from this era! But--was surprised I haven't seen anyone mention Stripes! I think I watched that about 16 times one summer-- after it was released to cable.:glasses:

There are only a few movies that I watch whenever I come across it while channel surfing. From the 80s that would be...

    The Princess Bride

Anybody remember BREAKIN' or how about BREAKIN' 2 ELECTRIC BOOGALOO?? Ya, they were pretty bad. But Im going with TOP GUN for best 80's movie. It would be a good movie to see, even today. It would not look "cheesy" compared to some other 80's movies. I watched the original FOOTLOOSE last week - ya it was kinda "cheesy". There was scence where John Lithgow was using an actual typewriter - remember those??

LOL ... Popeye... Really ??? :)) I was an extra in that movie when I was 8 yrs old ... I thought it was a floppp

No way! We loved it! And my boyfriend told me recently that it was one of his favorites when he was a kid too. Me and my sisters could probably still sing the songs from the movie.

Besides Dirty Dancing being my favourite
    I also like:

    - Scarface
    - Roadhouse
    - Lost Boys
    - Red Dawn
    - Labyrinth
& a few more that I can't think of right now, but those are my ultimate best :]

How did I forget Red Dawn, it's either tied or a close second with Roadhouse for me.
