I have a friend that did this and was happy with the results. She's naturally thin, though, so it's not like she really needed to lose weight. She wanted it more for the "detox" aspect. In my opinion (and science's), that's what organs are for.
I could totally do the bananas and milk day, but I'd kill someone the other days. Plus, no coffee? Pfft! Yeah, because THAT'S gonna happen..... *prepares her coffee for tomorrow morning*0 -
It all looks like normal food. I can't imagine why you couldn't eat a bit of all of it everyday, but eat 500 calories fewer than you currently eat and increase exercise by 500 more and still lose a decent amount of weight. Oh, never mind you probably wouldn't drop 7 pounds in a week.0

I don't see "souls" anywhere on that list, what gives?0

^ LOL
Seriousely, who comes up with these things?? :noway:0 -
None of those days include coffee?!?!

This diet actually works. It's more of a detox for 7 days. I'm not sure why everyone is bashing something without trying it - it's actually healthy and cleanses your body out. A friend of mine did it and lost 7 pounds in the 7 days.
It's very tough to follow given the restrictions, but its only for 7 days. The expectation is that you do get into a workout routine afterwards - you can't expect to go back to an unhealthy diet and not workout and hope to keep the weight off - that's just simple logic - but this diet works and does help you jumpstart into a good program.
Toughest day is fruits - it's really tough to eat fruits all day. but the other days are much easier and the veggie days are good.
Good luck to who ever is trying this
Also - your calorie intake does reduce significantly but you feel full due to the foods you eat (unprocessed foods) - and it is not unhealthy to drop your calorie intake for a short period of time - in fact it could help you and cleanse the body.
You can surely cut down you calorie intake slightly - but most people don't understand it's not always a matter of numbers. You can eat more calories than you need, with the right foods. With the logic of calorie defecit, I should be able to eat 3 big macs a day and lose weight - as each one is 500 calories or so per burger?
yes, yes you can actually eat 3 big macs a day IF you end up being at a deficit.0 -
What does Satan eat? Newborn babies?
I just had a flash of Fat Bast*** in Austin Powers.
Best statement ever!!! LOL0 -
I stumbled across this "Satan's Diet" as the user calls it. It sounds relatively healthy in terms of what you're putting in your body, but since I've always thought diets were kind of like fads, it concerned me. So I'm bringing it to the lovely MFP team!
Thoughts?

I first saw this so called diet years ago but it was called something else. Every few years someone digs up these garbage fad diets and pass them on as the newest innovation in weight loss. It's ignorant. Of course you are going to lose weight, you are starving yourself of calories and vital nutrients. Your body will have no choice but internalize and eat up fat stores to sustain you. But what's going to happen come day 8, 9, 10??? You're body is going to think it's been starved (because it has) and essentially turn the next group of nutritious meals you eat and turn them into fat for the next time you decide to do this insanely unhealthy diet.... lol I can't help but laugh. it's crazy what people will do their bodies to try and lose some unwanted pounds, but if they just sat back and took a look at what they are eating on a daily basis and made small changes over time they would not only lose the weight but keep it off.0 -
If I took those foods and made regular meals out of them instead of separating them into arbitrary days, it would be pretty good. You got your lean meats, your vegetables, your fruits, some soup in there. Separating it out just makes it seem more dramatic (and could also be hiding the fact that it's not really that much food. 8 bananas seems like a lot on one day, but over a week, that's about a banana a day, which I do just for a snack!).0
