What it does, when introduced in a liquid, is attract solid molecules to itself and solidifies them into large chunks. When brewing it is used to filter out impurities from your booze. It's not harmful to ingest but will cause wicked bloating and diarrhea. Trust me on this, my filter-fu wasn't the best the first time I used it...0 -
