I've met my goal!

I weighed myself not too long ago and I have reached my final weight goal of 125 pounds... Yay!
I have reached 125 before but was unable to maintain it b/c of the holidays (cannot resist moms cooking). I am determined to get more active, stay @ this weight & get toned. I might gain some muscle weight but that's ok with me. Does anyone have some tips on toning? I still have some rollie-pollies on my hips, thighs and belly but it's so hard to slim those areas down. Suggestions please!:ohwell:

I've been using these workouts (thanks to mehughes) and they are really good. I do three sets instead of two. If you sign up, they send you a new workout each week, which I love.

  • congrats. What I would do to see 125 again. It was around this time last year is when I saw it last.

I think with keeping up how I am doing things it will happen, maybe not over night like my weight gain, but I think it will work.
  • Way to go good job I can only dream at this point about reaching my goal but you are an insperation that it can be done!

It sure does work... give it time and you'll see the numbers go down on the scale and in inches.

I've lost 11 pounds since I started last August.. I know, I know.. that's so little for the amount of time I've been here but that's all I had to lose. I gained some and lost.. and gained and lost. I lost about 10 pounds before joinging MFP.
I will for sure try better to keep it off.

    rheston:
Thanks you so much for the link. I appreciate it soo much.

It was very hard at times and thought of giving up many times but I didn't want to let myself down again and start all over when I finally came to my senses. I need a whole new wardrobe. All the clothes from last year are way too big for me. I'm a size 6 or 7!

I think everyone else had more faith in me than I did so thank you.

  • Congradulation!!!!!! I am so happy for you! :flowerforyou:

For toning try adding weights to your workouts. If you already use weights up the lbs. Squats are great for the butt and legs and I just ordered this dvd for Crunchless abs. http://www.crunchlessabs.com/
I hope it works, I am trying to get rid of that belly for the summer!

Congrats!! :drinker: For toning try Pilates. I've been doing it and it has helped alot. They have videos that use small weights and they focus on your core, waist and legs. It's a very good workout. Good luck in maintaining.

I have the Windsor Pilates tapes so I guess I should start using them again.

Laura, this site is suggesting that I consume 1690 calories and burn 410 calories a week so we'll see.:ohwell:
