    Mushrooms and minced garlic......maybe sliced up sausage sauteed with it would be tasty.....and bacon is a good idea too!

    Before adding the potato's cut then into their pieces then boil them about 1/3 of the way before adding them, salt the water to your taste.
    With the meat I would just add salt and fresh black pepper. Before adding the meat heat a deep pan add veggie oil, bring to a medium heat then seal the meat, don't cook it all the way just until it has a nice color on the outside. Then add this and all the juices left behind in the pan.

    Salt is basically the only natural flavor enhancer. As long as you don't add a mountain of salt you should be good.

    For salt - If sodium is a problem for you try some Sea salt (I really love the flavor of pink Himalayan sea salt) 40% less sodium.

    I too, would add some garlic

    Black pepper - even better when freshly ground
    Garlic powder
    Italian seasoning blend
    Crumbled bacon - even one or two strips will add a LOT of flavor
