This morning my husband and I went for a walk before 7:00. We went to the usual park but it was dusty and gritty. The temps are already in the 80's. We then headed to a park called Colle Oppio which overlooks the Coloseum. A little better, but the city is dirty and unkempt. Then we went to another park called "Celio" and then back toward home for a cappuccino and we split a roll. Hot. I'm so glad we put in central air last year--so worth it, and it takes less energy than what we had before.

We went to visit my BIL yesterday afternoon. He's recuperating well from his heart surgery and looks better. He's a cardiologist. My husband was so worried. They lost a sister in a car accident when she was 29, so his brother is all he's got.

@snowflake954 Great news about the BIL. I'm so glad to hear he's fully recovering. You're on the nightly news due to the water supply not springing eternal. Spain, too. I was thinking about your schools of fish.

We're having some high temps. The trout start to die when the water hits 70-75 °F. The pesky come and are swelled with pride about their catch and release skills. However, stats reveal they kill about 30% of the fish. I've watched them. Fish feel pain just like cats and dogs and humans. I believe it's cruelty disguised as a sport. I cannot tell you how many dead fish are floating after they're through pulling the hook out of their gills.

My father was a great fisherman. Everything he took went onto the plate. It used to make him sick and it makes me sick watching them use fish for sport. Catch and Release. I worked with someone who would take us fishing in his boat. He killed every fish and threw them back in. I would see them floating behind the boat. Next. He's still at it but I wish they would get rid of catch and release out here.
