@snowflake954 There are 5 Michelin stars for your house and 5 laughing hyenas for mine. Only no one was laughing back then because hot water was a luxury. Think of all the dirt sandwiches they had to eat on a daily basis. It's a wonder they made it but they didn't live as long as we are. They must have stunk to high heaven. Forget about lard@$$ lotion, they needed industrial cleaners.

Well, the streets were full of horse do-do and mud. You know, my home town in Minnesota is famous for it's 2 story outhouse--think about that.

@snowflake954 Oooo, that gives me the shivers. Folkaronies linger long on what they had to go through. Could we, would we do it all over again if we had to. Oooo, hell yes. We are bent on survival. @snowflake954 Some of Grandpaw's sibs all died of typhoid fever from bad water, young kids. Boy I went to school with died of RM tick fever. Ticks will be coming out very soon.
