First post. Started about two months ago and have done really well so far. Aside from my recent 40th birthday weekend I had lost 25.5 lbs. I gained 3.5 during this weekend but back at it again today. Looking forward to blasting another 40lbs off. Who's with me! :)

I won't be 40 until March but I would love to add some new friends!

I've already lost 15.6 lbs since March, 10.2 since starting MFP. Right now I'm doing Insanity. I'm on day 5. It's getting a lil easier every day. I'm also walking and going to start JM Killer buns and thighs.

My goal is to lose 60 more lbs! I'm giving myself until my 40th birthday to do it.

I'm going to ROCK this and would LOVE some company!!!!!

I am 47 and I've been struggling to lose weight for years. I topped out at 383 and found out I had a pituitary gland tumor (prolactinoma). It is under control now and I am down to 254 but have been struggling to drop below that. I would definitely appreciate some accountability partners.

Hi everyone. I'm new to the site, first couple of days. I'm currently 49....just a scant couple of months away from 50. YIKES!!! Can I still be in the 40's group after I hit 50? lol. Anyway, been overweight since high school. Can use ALL the motivational buddies I can possibly get. Please feel free to add me. Good luck everyone.

*waves* 40 here. I still cringe when I say that! It's been a difficult transition from my 30s..... I don't cope well with change!

+1 for that! Still not quite come to terms with it...

What if it takes a decade and I just get used to being 40 and then I turn 50?!

I'll be 48 in a few months. I'm 15 pounds down with 32 to go. I am working hard to rethink my "relationship" with food, including: What I eat - Where I eat - With whom I eat - How often I eat - What times and days I eat - When to fast, etc,

Then there's this whole exercise thing. Burning 150 or so calories after a hour of walking seems like a weak payoff, so I have to remind myself that exercise is only one part of weight loss. I'm better off focusing on movement being good for stress reduction, cardiovascular strength, lymph system health, etc. Obviously I'm a work in progress and having motivational buddies sounds good to me.

Hi, I'm 49 and aiming to lose to 20 or so lbs I put on after I lost the weight (I was 180 then, and am 5'4") 7 years ago. Cue the life stress, perimenopause, dark chocolate, indolence, cookies, oh-sure-I'll-never-put-it-back-ons and so on. So here I am! Am calorie counting and walking/running, which has been the best combo for me so far.

I'll be glad to be friends with you! Looking forward to meeting you :)
