I gave mine to a girl who got frauded on Ebay. She sent someone $2000 for a dress that never showed. She was in a huge panic and was the sweetest person! I gave it to her for free after asking of proof of fraud since she seemed to have her heart set on it, but didn't have the money after being taken by idiots.

She sent me the most beautiful pictures of her in the dress on her wedding day with her family. She also donated the dress to charity after she wore it so kind of sweet knowing the dress lived and maybe even continues to live on!

    Wow!

That is so lovely of both of you!

That is awesome! I would do the same thing if I heard of someone in that position too!

Wow! I appreciate all the kind responses! It is not an expensive wedding gown, and after looking at the pictures after we got married I wasn't totally in love with it. So I may try selling it and seeing if I can help someone out. But if not then I may just hold on to it for a while or have something made out of it. :) I had not even thought of that.

Thanks everyone for the help in deciding! :)

I offered mine to my sister in law when she got married so she could trade it in for credit towards the dress she liked. Unfortunately the store that used to take in dresses moved to another town so she couldn't use it. I have no problem getting rid of mine. It's not like I'll wear it and I don't expect my daughter to want it.

Not really relevant, but after reading other posts, I wanted to share.

My sister got married last December. I was the maid of honor. My cousin and two daughters were the bridesmaids. My sister got married in a silver bridesmaid dress (her colors were silver and blue) that she bought on clearance for $40. I spent 10 times that much on bridesmaids dresses!!

I like the idea of turning it into something like a blanket.
