    my baby girl, Sadie! We got her a little over a year ago from a foster program. She is part of the reason I have lost weight too. Making me go on walks even when I don't want to. :) A little high energy which is good sometimes but not so good at others. But she does pull me back up the hill when I'm dragging.

    This is the story of Cherokee the Bloodhound who came home with me in March, 2002 weighing 25lbs.

    He grew to 55lbs. at 6 months

    Had surgery for hip dysplasia when he was 11 months old

    Loved the Huntington Beach Dog Beach @ 115lbs.

    Developed a thyroid condition when he was 5 that had him gain weight until he was up to 177lbs!

    Who loved to travel even when he was over 8 years old.

    Remained the same goofy dog as 1st picture up until he developed a tumor in his spine and had to be put to sleep on New Years Eve, 2009 at the age of 8 year old. He lived a great life and even won a "Lost Most Weight" contest when we got back to his "usual" weight of 135lbs.
