    Dagnammit. You got me!

A combination of laziness, ecomindedness and tightfistedness has me having eco lights in the room I spend most of my time in and a head torch when I want to go to another room to fetch something. (Head torch is powered by rechargeable batteries... which are recharged by a solar charger!)

If I think I'm going to spend more than 5 minutes in a room, I'll turn the light on.

Wow totally thought this was a post by a man and totally different than what it is LOL....no I am not man bashing just not what I was expecting. I am a natural sunlight person and if it is dark and gloomy out then I turn on the lights, at 8 pm the lights go out in my house and only the ones needed are on. I like to calm down in peace.

On what I thought was the original topic lights off, I like the mystery.....

I'm quite night-blind, so usually require some light. I do much prefer dim lighting though. So if it's dark I'll usually turn on a lamp or two. Can't stand overhead lighting for the most part. Fortunately my office-mate feels the same, so I get to work in a nice dim room with just desk lamps.

Also in general I try to conserve as much electricity as possible since the bill's going to be huge from running the air conditioning anyway.

I am a lights off person in my everyday life. I'm frugal and the thought of wasting electricity drives me insane. As far as alone time with my boyfriend, light are always on ; )

Turn off, systematically, when not in a room. But when it's dark, of course I turn the lights on. It's more a green way of thinking than anything else.

I prefer them off. Especially, if it's storming outside.

I have as few lights on as possible. I like to have candles burning, the light is so much nicer and there is the bonus that they make the house smell so nice.

I leave the lights on. My husband turns them off, to keep the bill down. I return to the room, turn the lights back on. He travels frequently for work. The lights stay on all evening. He never notices a difference in the bill. Couldn't be that bad.

He also locks me out of the house. There's nothing worse than going out into our fenced back yard for 15 minutes, and being locked out.

I have lights on at night and only the ones I need. All others are off. I hate wasting electricity!

Lights are off during the day as its pretty pointless to turn them off. Only time I would is maybe cooking in the kitchen.

I am a lights on person.

Wherever I go, there are lights left on. Bathroom light is on. Front hall. Bedroom light. Even after I've left the room, the light stays on. On cloudy dark days, the lights never go off. I hate feeling dark and gloomy.

My husband is a lights off person. I'm convinced he's half troll, preferring a shadowed cave to a bright home. It drives me crazy when he starts turning my lights off. I turned them on because I wanted it to be brighter, stop turning them off!

    How about you?

I'm glad I don't have to pay your light bill! If you are not in the room, lights off.

I'm 50/50 depending on whats going on.

Some lights on / shades open (at home in afternoon)
Most lights off / shades closed / AC cranked after around 7pm.

Cleaning time.... Just about every damn thing in the house is on.

I cut all the lights off, it's a habit my father would get after us for leaving lights on so, automatically I see one
on I cut it off hearing his voice inside saying cut that light off LOL but I'll leave every window and door open around the house so go figure lol

Lights are off all the time except when needed. We have plenty of natural light coming in for most of the day.

I'll use a lamp if I'm reading at night.
