Ladies....shave above the knee or not?
Replies

I'm naturally blonde and naturally pretty bald  so I don't need to. If I did need to I think I would though...0
-
if u need to shave if u dont dont... if ur HUSBAND not boyfriend husband wants you to shave shave0
-
All the way. Winter summer who cares
I have blonde leg hair
But I hate the way hairy legs feel under clothes0 -
Personally, yes. But it's your choice.0
-
Screw that:) LOL the older I get the more I don't care about that mess:) Plus it's blonde and no one sees it:)0
-
Yes! If Im in A hurry and Ill shave just past the knee0
-
I think it depends on the type of hair you have. If it's dark, then yes I would say. If it's fine, probably not! I had IPL hair removal and most of my hair is gone now; highly recommend if you have dark hair and can afford it! (I still need a couple more treatments....eventually!).0
-
I WAX! It's the way to go (and not just because I do it for a living). My leg hair has become fine and sparse and barely noticeable after years of waxing...and it takes weeks to grow back, with no stubbly feeling. And, only to the top of the knee...my thigh peach fuzz doesn't bother me at all, neither does the hair on my arms. Underarms and the bunny get the full waxing treatment though. I like smoothness, as we all do, evidently!0
-
YES!! eek, it's not that hard to just finish the leg off jeezy lol
I will admit though when I'm running late sometimes I'll just shave to wear the bottoms i'm wearing comes to but ONLY if I'm running
late and it drives me crazy...I like being smooth0 -
i believe women shouldn't have hair growing below the eyelashes. lol. so i shave everything. all the way up my leg and more!
The idea that a woman shouldn't have any hair anywhere comes from porn and reminds me too much of guys who like 'em a bit too young.
Agreed! No one has to look like Magilla Gorilla for God's sake....but Barbie crotch is no more appealing!
Agree and love the expression "Barbie crotch." I'm stealing that.
If a guy can't handle a little trimmed pubic hair or peach fuzz on the thighs I guess he won't mind if I don't ever let him near those places. Ever.
Well I shave it all but thats for me, not for my husband. I will keep the details as to why to myself but it may come to a surprise, but everything I do isn't for what a man wants. Taking care of myself, being fit, the way I dress, make-up etc has nothing to do with whether some man finds it attractive. Luckily my husband does enjoy what I do, but I do it all for me first!:bigsmile:0 -

I suspect human biology might disagree with you on the 'shouldn't' aspect. Of course, choosing not to have is a different thing altogether.
Human biology/evolution has us picking less hairier partners, that's one of the reasons why we hardly have hair so human biology would agree with humans not being hairy. One of the theories to why this is that it was a way to lessen parasites from us. Of course with technology we can just shave now and trick the mate into thinking we're less hairy.
Ah the random application of post hoc social evolutionary thinking to justify cultural practices. Always amusing.0 -

Of course and as it should be.
I tend to disagree. If I were married, and my wife wanted me to shave my legs...why shouldn't I? I don't care what other people think of me anyhow...and its her opinion that matters in the short term, and long term. The same if she DIDN'T want me to shave elsewhere...or DID want me to shave elsewhere. What difference does it make?
*shrug*...I guess I just don't get this whole 'Do for you, and if your spouse is happy, good for them...and if not, too bad!' sentiment that's taken root in our society.0 -
I don't shave above knee, barely any hair and it's blonde!0
-
No, wax everything.0

i dont show leg unless I have to, like if i have to go to a doctor app , My Boyfriend isnt really a leg person. So I rarely shave my legs.. Though my Bf said its Like Velcro, If I have my legs round his Waist,They stay there0

I think some women need too while others don't. My sister literally doesn't have hair on her upper legs. It is so fine and blonde you cannot even see it. Me, on the other hand, have to shave my whole leg. I got the gorgeous, thick hair on my head but have to pay for it in other places. Laser hair removal is getting finished when I hurry up and get this pregnancy over!
HI Kenzi!
(Laser Surgery) Wow.. will that hurt? Is it permanent ? What all will get lasered? I am not trying to be nosy per'se.. but just wondering if lasering of private parts possible as well. I shave (above the knee lol) but would consider possible lazering of the you know what if its possible.
Even though I answered you in a message, I will answer on here as well in case anyone else wants to know.
Laser hair removal is permanent, if you are the right hair and skin type.
It can be very expensive and painful if you go to a dermatologist.
I bought the Tria at home laser, and have finished certain parts of my body. I can assure you, there is absolutely zero hair growth after one year.
The entire laser (which is all you need) costs 395 dollars, and between at home self treatments, you can still shave.
There are 5 levels. Level one is just warm, and level 5 is warm and feels like a rubber band flicking your skin.
I can tolerate 5 almost everywhere except the more 'sensitive' areas. Obviously the higher the level the quicker you see results.
It works best on coarse, dark hair and light-medium colored skin.
Unfortunately it does not work on dark skin or blonde hair.
I have light skin and dark hair, so I was the perfect candidate. It has worked wonders for me, but laser hair removal has not been proven safe during pregnancy so it has been put on hold until my baby gets here in September.0 -
I shave (or wax, depending on the region) my entire body, more or less. I have since I was 15. I don't like body hair *shrug*0

Respectfully,
Actually, I just thought it was great that she was doing it for herself first. But, that's not saying that there wouldn't be, couldn't or isn't any compromise ! I love the stuff shaven, omg do i, but if she(generically speaking) trimmed it that would be fine too. letting it go wild.. well, it might be a little scary going into a jungle while trying to play.
I understand...and of course I wouldn't make a sticky point ouf of something so silly in a relationship either. I was more commenting on the overall idea, rather than your specific post, or even her specific post, if you know what I mean.
I think it's great she's doing it for herself too. I would think it was just as great if she were doing it for her partner. I wouldn't think it was as great if she were doing it for herself, despite her partner.
Best of course, is when you're doing it for both of you .0 -
I barely have any body hair anyplace. I haven't shaved anything in 30 years.0
-
yes i have to.0
-
I definetly do. It would not be a pleasant scene if I let it go. lmao0
-
i shave all of both of my legs...it just feels weird not to.0
-
Shave above the knee when expecting company!!
Like many others I have very fine hair on the upper half so it's not really noticable.0 -
I only shave to my knees. My thighs have absolutely no hair on them, naturally completely smooth0
-
I shave from the waist down.. that takes more than enough of my shower time.0

I think so long as you don't care either way, then I agree..why not do it for your partner? BUT, if you really really hate the way something looks or feels and your partner wants it, then it can be a problem.
Example, I once had a partner who preferred body hair on a woman not even trimmed... I couldn't for the life of me not at least trim. At the end of the day he didn't really care that much and he was fine with me going about my usual habits.0 -

See how smart she is?
Love Kenzie
I agree...and that to me, when it's something you REALLY don't want to do...is where the compromise should finally come in. Prior to that, I just do the things she'd like me to...and go happily on my way knowing she's happy too, which is my main goal. Most people today...it's either what they want, or too bad. And the best part...is if ANYONE else catches word that a husband wants his wife to do something for him, or is unhappy about something she's 'doing for herself'...man, does the foot come down on his controlling, abusive *kitten* .0 -
I'm special and I don't grow hair above my knees. I shave the bottom part every day and I wax everything else. I'd wax my legs too but they hurt so much!0

So stop watching so much porn, perv.0 -
