So how much were you eating per day, how tall and light are you, what's your goal ?0

Cravingskinny,
Yarwell has a point, you've got to start with your height and weight to see what's your daily goal for calories. Also, just because you stay within your goal, it doesn't mean that you're good to go. You still have to monitor sugars and carbs. Not that you can't eat them, but WHEN you eat them. I shoot for mid afternoon as my limit for anything sweet. After 3-4 pm, I try to stay away from sugars (maybe a fruit every once in a while). Those are things to keep in mind.
I went to a nutritionist and we set a 2000-2200 cal goal. She suggested that to keep my metabolism at a higher pace, that I try to have four 500 cal meals instead of three big ones. Also that skipping a meal is a huge no-no because it causes your metabolism to go the opposite way and slow down too much.
Just some ideas for you to ponder.
Oh, and be patient, and stick with it. It took me a couple of months (about 10 weeks), but once the weight started going away, the improvements were basically daily. Everyone is different, but patience is always a good thing to have.
Good luck.0 -
I eat for 900 cal per day, I'm 148 cm and my goal is 44 kg any help?0
-
Why 900 calories? MFP minimum is 1200.0
-
Keep going. Mine was slow at first too. I haven't lost much in inches, but the scale eventually followed. It's taken me almost a year to drop 40 lbs and I've only gone down one size. And yes, don't just look at your calories, be sure to pay attention to sugars, carbs, protein, fiber, etc...AND drink water!!0

How much do you weigh now? Your goal of 97 pounds is very low and potentially unhealthy.
You are not eating enough. 900 calories isn't enough to fuel your body. You need to eat at the very minimum 1200.0 -

That is way 2 little. You need at least 1200 NET calories a day. I would say prob more like 1500-1700 a day for what your doing. Your body is in starvation mode0 -

While I agree, the calories are WAY too low, if she is 148cm that would make the OP about 4'10"--so 97 lbs would actually be a healthy weight for her height. But yes girl, eat more. Eat at least 1200 calories a day. I eat a minimum of 1400 and I've been losing steadily since late January. Food is your friend (when you're eating nutritious foods in the right quantities)!0 -
OP: go check out the "eat more weight less" group for ideas? At least listen to the youtube channel and see if its something for you.0

you dont need to lose weight ,you need help otherwise

Ok, you're 4' 10" and your goal is 97 lbs but you don't mention your current weight.
900 calories is far too low for anyone. Even if you were at your goal weight that isn't enough.0 -
I feel ya! I hit almost my halfway point and the scale just froze! I am not giving up though but its a little discouraging!!:frown:0

cant see your diary.0
-
Up your cals and you will see the weight fall off. I eat 1600-2000 cals a day have lost 25 lbs in 4 months. But I am 5'7, so your needs will be much different. Try going up to 1200 and see what happens. If still nothing, try 1400. You have to feed your body or any weight you DO eventually lose will be lean body mass and not fat.0
-
Can you make your diary public? It is hard to help without seeing it.0
-
I just made my diary puplic. but I guess there are some days when I don't count cal cause i eat veggies these days.0
-
and guys; I'm on 30 day shred.0
-
I would agree with several of these individuals...right now I am on 1400 cal a day and am seeing results (only two weeks in so we'll see). What I used to do was try to eat as little as possible...your body will go into a safe mode and not lose much because it is trying to hold onto what you have - you won't lose weight this way. If you haven't I would talk to a nutritionist so they can help you figure out what is best for your specific goal, they've helped me and put me on MFP.0

1) Work out how much you should be eating based on your daily burn and take a reasonable deficit from that (a reasonable deficit depends on how much you weigh now - but 500 cals a day is pretty standard)
2) make sure you set your macros up properly
3) strength train
Hit the calorie and macro goals - and you can eat when you want to (there is no negative impact to your metabolism if you skip a mea), medical issues aside, as long as you hit the targets,
A good side to work estimate your daily calorie burn is: http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html but there are a bunch out there (just make sure to read carefully to understand if they include/exclude workouts and/or have a deficit already built in).0 -
Checked your food diary - You are starving yourself. What is happening is that your body is holding on to what is has for "dear life." You have to feed your body or you will never lose any weight and your metabolism will "stop" cold in its' tracks. And my, dear that is where you are right now. You have to eat a lot more than 900 calories and with you doing the 30DS, you should be eating twice that easy.0

Ditto - To several posts...
900 calories too little, your doing more harm than good. Your body basically needs that much just to sit on the couch all day...
Re-evaluate that and I suggest setting up a plan or maybe starting a fitness program that has a nutrition plan mapped out for it...
I am a health coach so if I can be of anymore assistance don't hesitate to message me!0 -
I was a bit worried when your profile says "i only want to be skinny"
Actually, focus on healthy - skinny is not great. And you said some days you don't cal count because you eat veggies - if you keep a diary - then keep a diary! log everything then when you lose weight / gain weight you can see exactly what it was that you ate.
I have no idea what your current weight is, but PLEASE - don't obsess about 'skinny' - your organs and body needs calories to function properly and keep you healthy. cutting back too far and not logging (or eating) is not going to do anything for you in a positive sense.0 -
Keep everything else the same but add in one 15-20min HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) session a week0
-
but I don't need more than 900 cal. I don't mean to starve my self like you saying. but it's like my daily needing!0
-
If you're not losing fat, the answer is going to be in your nutrition. You need to make sure that you're eating enough calories, and that you're also eating lean meats, healthy fats, whole grains, fruits and vegetables. You also need to make sure you're hitting your proper macro nutrient percents everyday (typically that's 30% protein, 40% carbs and 30% fat).0
-
If you have been eating low calories for an extended period of time, it may be a good idea to eat at maintenance for a few weeks, before returning to a deficit. Then gradually taper them down sensibly, until your losing again. 20% bellow maintenance is a good start.0
-
but I don't need more than 900 cal. I don't mean to starve my self like you saying. but it's like my daily needing!
Yes you do - plain and simple.
If you are not willing to take peoples advice that they have taken time out in their day to give you, then I do not see the point in you asking the question in the first place.0 -
you got me wrong!! I mean I feel full when I eat 900 cal and you guys say that's wrong. so If I eat way more calories beside doing the 30 days shred by Jillian michaels. will that help to lose weight? cause I've not lose ANY weight since 4 months (since I started)0
