    Perhaps I'm just a non-responder as well then as over the periods I've used it I've just felt no benefit.

    Wow, That went further than I thought. Today I tried using Creatine w'o whey for pre workout But i did not consider the glusose boost in the brand i was using, I am a borderline diabetic and as soon as I finished my workout I crashed worse than a Gamer after a case of redbull. I quickly downed a ton of water and hit the shower then about 10 min in the dry sauna and then another shower. I felt fine after but I won't risk that again. What I normally do is for one i eat high protein diet already but When I work out I drink a boost (coffee or koolaid like energy drink mix) then during workout only water, after workout as a recovery I down a serving of whey protein, I have L-glutamine already but I was going to ask: would it be a benefit to take the L-glutamine ONLY on days i work out prior to bed and upon waking AFTER workout?

    Some sound advice in this thread.

    I use creatine as a pre-workout. I like Cellucor C4 Extrme or Dymatize Xtreme Xpand

    I use L-Glutamine as a post workout. My favorite is Dymatize Elite Recoup

    I also use whey protein as a post workout. I'm partial to BSN Synth 6 Protein (chocolate peanut butter is the best flavor!)

    I've heard that Creatine has little effect if you're over 40

    Is that true? If so why?
